While I think it's possible they didn't mention the other faction because they aren't represented by the companions, I think it's quite likely the 6 ones will be the same of the companions, minus Harding/the Inquisition.
Although I do also now wonder that quite a number of them will be class-specific.

We need someone 24/24 on the youtube stream chat because the DA account is answering game related questions: They just confirmed: - Faction selection at character creation with 6 options including: Antivan Crows, Grey Warden and Shadow Dragons - We get to customize the Inquisitor from the last game at character creationSimultaneous "oh awesome" and "oh no". I'm going to be spending twice as much in the CC getting the faces right, especially if I can't readjust the Inquisitor's face if any detail is off, it'll drive me mad. See, not sure about that. I just replayed that scene yesterday and some things struck me. There is a Flemeth and Mythal seems to share possession of the body of Flemeth with that consciousness. So my suspicion is Morrigan would still be very much alive and conscious even if her mother entered her body. But Mythal also tells Morrigan that she's not in any danger of losing herself to her mother. It's complicated. Ah thanks, I actually only ever finished the game once in 2014 so a lot of details are extremely fuzzy if not lost. I can't quite picture how this is going to play out. Mythal as just a passenger talking to Morrigan like in Cyberpunk? I like the fucked up relationship they have. I honestly can't tell where this is going exactly. I really hope it's an important storyline in the game. I don't think Mythal and Flemeth can have actual conversations in her head but it's more like Mythal makes her presence known and influences through sensations, emotion, desires. Now confirm hot old wizard Emmerich as a romance for lady Rook and I'll be DONE I kind of want to romance him with a female Qunari because I think it would be funny.  I'm going for a modded beefy fem Aasimar who romances Gale in BG3, I think I'm in my tol warrior kissing smol wizard phase right now.

So two questions:
1. Do we have any idea of release date? Trying to figure out when to begin my replay of the series to prep. Deep in a stardew valley run right now so need to know when to pull out, LOL.
2. Do we have any idea if the companions are playersexual/race/gender gated? Did they say in the live where they are giving away answers like that episode of Spongebob where they made too much money and gave it away for free?

Depends on if when the Inquisitor appears, they’ll actually act like our Inquisitors instead of how Hawke was so OOC for a lot of players. This is a pretty calm response from you. Are you really ok and fine with this?  As I said, it depends on how they’re handled. I never doubted they’d be in the game even if not the protagonist, just worried in what way. Also trying my best to not jump to conclusions like I did yesterday, especially with them constantly giving new information. |

You can filter by user (in search box) if you know their names ? I'm not that discord savvy either. Edit type" from: brenon.holmes " in search box You got two mods in show member lists, the two people sign near the search box (up right corner)

I don't think they're panicking they were anticipating. You don't put up a roadmap of your marketing schedule to public out of panic.
It is very clear they knew this would happen and this was some sort of compromise they got with EA Marketing department.
It is possible trailer will target specific demographic that will hit positively, while relying on those who don't like the trailer won't be turned off, especially with gameplay reveal only 48 hours after the trailer.
A road map is one thing, crudely giving away bombshell info guaranteed to hype people up over Q&A following a poorly received trailer instead of waiting for a proper reveal in a gameplay trailer is alarm bell damage control. So, I don't think that's very clear at all that BioWare anticipated so much heat, but I'm also not looking to get into a disagreement about something so minor. /shrug

I hope it isn't some trolling I don't now who's running the youtube account, but on Discord it's Brenon Holmes who's answering questions. He's a long time BioWare designer/programmer/producer (his first credits at Bioware is BG2).

If you trying to find spoilers. apparently, it's not on discord. It's in chat for upcoming gameplay reveal AFAIK it can't be filtered and you can't see full chat history

that would break my heart but choices, consequences, if I can't take it while dishing it out I shouldn't dish it out. Still that is going to be heartbreaking but the idea did occur to me.
