Screenshots are out. x.com/dragonage/status/1828476547877216519It's honestly hilarious how they're always giving Taash the least amount of screenshots, and always on weird angles. They used the same one for all the screenshots shown since yesterday. Harding is a new scene.

Oh good, we've managed to hybridize two bottom-of-the-barrel camps of Gamer discourse: "Why does the final character not look like one of zillions of early concept art pieces?" and "The muscular female character doesn't make my pp hard!" Great stuff. I'm watching this thread since a long time ago, and silently. Do you think you guys are much more interesting in your discussions ? Lol. You guys think too much of yourselves. You think that this thread is always interesting and with always " high level spirit ? " Don't make me laugh so hard. It's easy to fall into hostile tone, don't do that. The discussion was totally fine, you just have some difficulties to accept some opinions. That's it. Why do you have to be gross and distort what people say. Nobody said " the muscular character doesn't make me hard or whatever " It was a totally appropriate and calm conversation until you went stupid. She isn't appealing, for some, you'll have to deal with it. lol

Kind of a nitpick but I don't really like the outfits for the companions except maybe Lucanis. Most of them are super busy with too many little things going on like they were dressed by an overzealous fashion designer. And I think it stands out in particular because the outfits have more details than their faces due to the smoothing effect they are using (the outfits do not appear smoothed but faces are).

You know the more I see shots of Harding with her damaged face, the more I think it is some sort of transformation connected with her magic acquisition. Taking on more of a stony look perhaps. It would be very unusual for her to still be showing the signs of damage back in the Lighthouse. Otherwise, what could have happened to leave her like that? None of the other companions ever look the worst for wear. I think the damaged face is more likely a story point depending on who you bring with you to disrupt the ritual. My theory is whoever you take with you gets busted up for a bit. I think they're just having fun teasing us with all the bruised Harding imagery

As a fashion lover, I love it. Only about 100 years ago did people start wearing as few layers as we do now. The detail and layers make sense to me even from a historical standpoint. Today we wear some of the least and simplest clothing we've ever worn (jeans and t-shirt and that's it)

Odd turn of phrase given that it seems like Veilguard mages can do everything that Inquisition mages can do or Origins and 2 mages for that matter...and then some if we start seeing them be more physical jumping around and what not. Of course the only thing that they can't do at this point is the one thing that the fandom howled about from Inquisition. They reduced people's precious healing spells, people take it that they got rid of them, introduced abilities and the guard and barrier mechanic...but because people didn't like it looks like that is being taken out of the sequel despite being a pretty good way of doing things, damage mitigation...even if the presentation wasn't always perfect. Mages in Veilguard lost almost everything compared with Origins. They were really screwed over as a class in Veilguard with the terrible 3 ability system. I won’t miss guard or barrier, though. A. The spells might have different names and some individual spells might be removed but that is incorrect. B. I and others have demonstrated we have just as many abilities as Inquisition, maybe more, maybe as many as Origins.

Most of them are okay for me, but I do find Neve a little over designed. Which is especially weird because a. she looks nice in her casual outfit and b. she's supposed to be a lower class character, but wears a fancy outfit. Not sure if intentional.

Do some Google searches 😘 Places where few layers have always been worn are places like the Amazon where it's super hot and humid all the time. And so far Thedas is pretty moderate Ah, copy that. So you meant the following? Only about 100 years ago did people Chinese, Korean, and Japanese start wearing as few layers as we do now. The detail and layers make sense to me even from a historical standpoint. Smh it includes Europeans too. And many North American tribes wore lots of layers. South and North American tribes wore very detailed pieces regardless of layers too. Dude detailed fashion and craftsmanship spans the world's hustory. You tried to accuse me of only speaking to European history (and implying racism), and then when I gave examples of some Asian countries and native American you took it to mean I was only speaking of Asia the whole time? What kind of self righteous point are you trying to make? This is so weird. It's almost like you think the rest of the world doesn't have any remarkable fashion history. My point is that DAV's detailed and layered outfits make a lot of sense because only in the past 50~100 years did the majority of the world wear little and simple clothing the vast majority of the time. In a fantasy game it makes sense for the fashion design to be informed by fashion history where there was an emphasis on craftsmanship and detail instead of mass produced items. Another aspect to why we wear so little now is that the world is simply hotter than it was pre industrial revolution. My point isn't about one particular culture. Stop making this weird.
