The ability to adjust combat timings is huge for someone like me who doesn't play action games. The dodge ring in ff16 is the reason I can have fun with that game lol

I'll be systematically turning off UI elements just before the point that I can't do anything or find anything. This is what I thought as well. I think I will need to see the game on my computer to figure out what I need to keep in and what I can do without.

i8'm happy to see there are many settings for UI and other things but i don't know if they are enough to "fix" the default UI (at least what we saw in the gameplay videos so far)
What i really liked - Remapping all controls, even controller!! It makes me think i can at least try to play with controller...will see - Ranged & Melee Threat Indicators - Object Glint Distance. i hope they refer to those objects we see in green or gold and that we can turn it off completely or at least something like 1m - Object Glint Visibility - Objective Marker Visibility - Waypoint Visibility - Hide-able HUD Elements (Abilities, Damage Numbers, Hints, Mini Map, Objective Tracker, Player Health, Tutorials) - Persist Dot Option

Comprehensive? No. I expected a setting to increase companion damage.

The glint I'm referring to, which I think this option goes to, is the golden shimmering effect that surrounds chests, collectibles, and pick-up items. The video shown here (23:56) is displays what I'm getting at. There's no pulse effect - from what I've seen - similar to Inquisition. Objects are out in the field and just have this glowing effect to them. I'm not particularly a fan of this because it makes these collectibles waaay to easy to spot and its a bit too distracting. Takes away from the discovery element of exploring, while also just being a bit of an eye-sore. I'm putting a spoiler tag on the video in case anyone doesn't want elements of the story exposed.

Someone posted the keybinds previously... Unless you're referring to some other accessibility option.

I like a clean screen. I can learn which button presses fire which abilities, I don't need to see the icons. I don't need a minimap if I can open the map when I need it. I don't need enemy health bars, I'll know when it's dead.

Have they said anything about how you find loot? I remember the search button (X on ps5/4) being a pain and or ladders for example would be the same color. I believe what we've been told so far is that loot can be discovered through chests, shops, and what drops from enemies while out in the world. It doesn't seem like the 'ping" has returned in this game (thank god), and things are just naturally found out in the world.

Now that awareness has increased, studios are getting good at this stuff. (They've gone so woke, catering to our infirmities, instead of making us suck it up and suffer. 😆) I always use custom HUD settings, turn off the aim assist, reduce or eliminate camera shake, and turn most button-holds into toggles to spare my hypermobile joints. I have color-blind friends who use those settings.
