Bioware and EA has a large Dragon Age empire, that can gain publicity and goodwill from ignoring unauthorized use of copyrighted material.
Sanshee is a relatively small company that likely cannot afford to allow the unauthorized sale of Dragon Age plushies in competition with a sustantial source of their revenue.
I don't believe it would be wise to poke the bear with an unauthorized plushie "trial" and risk a grizzly end.
We are talking about plushies that aren't sold in Sanshee, so what competition are you talking about? Fanartists usually fill niches that are unoccupied by licensed merchandise.
And I think you are vastly overestimatingthe amounts of plushies (or anything that is hand-made) that can be crafted by one person (esp. one who ain't dedicated to making them day and night) and thus the amount of orders/sales. These paltry numbers is what protects most artists from IP owners BTW.
Sanshee may be a relatively small company, but they have their plushies mass-produced and no crafter, or even a team of them, can do them harm, unless they somehow find some manufacturers somewhere that are making cheap copies of merchandise Sanshee makes. That's far from what we're talking about here, which is an occasional commission or some prints, etc.

Does BioWare’s internal data indicate a majority of players romance Iron Bull or something? That’s two Bull-related tweets.
Anyone can romance Iron Bull, regardless of gender or race.
I’m aware of that. I’m just curious why it’s “Romance Iron Bull again” and not “Romance Josephine again.” Or any other romanceable character, for that matter.

Its prolly just cus it can be referred to as “riding the bull”, which amuses the inner 12 year old in a lot of people.

...weren't those already in DA2 with the elves's "bug eyes"?

He started that series of tweets with a tweet telling everyone that they needed to watch The Dragon Prince animated series (it's on Netflix for those who aren't aware), which is what the glow toad in the second gif is from. I'm pretty sure all that stuff was just about The Dragon Prince.

Its also a pretty fun series, if a little rushed in its pacing in the third season. I second his recommendation!

No surprises here. A change in art direction for NPCs, chars and fauna is to be expected. Also expected is a change in the faces of returning chars (if any). Interesting, though, that art does not change the flora, trees, grass rock, water .. etc .
If it was from Mark, then I suppose he is using a marketing technique to keep interest "alive" while revealing nothing.

Mark Darrah @biomarkdarrah If I’ve done the math correctly, today marks the day when I’ve worked for BioWare for half my life ... Which means my life is an expanding series ... Which means I’m immortal!

Lol,
Immortal eh?
I've worked with the same co. for close to 1/4 century myself and retired at 55. With God's help I must have done something right. Hope Mark is successful as well.

I’m not expecting significant changes from what we saw in DAI - I think we can expect a lot of refinement in DA4 rather than redesign.
Also - faces may be identical to those from DAI, yet still look quite different thanks to updated shaders, textures and animations.

EA mandatory online back-end monetization and Bio's signature MO, will necessitate design changes and I'm not talking about improvement in inventory management and GUI display and GUI navigation. DA:I is a disaster here (PC wise).
If Anthem is their new model for back-end monetization, expect poor looking armour sets to start and obtain few bland ones as one progresses in the game. Expect lots of beautiful vinyl offers though, to make up for the few. In the past, games gave better gear as we level up but today, that negatively impacts vinyl sales. So I'm prepared to finish the game with bland looking armour.
Here, I see three possibilities for monetization:
1) Offer beautiful vinyl armour / weapon sets
2) Offer individual armour /weapon pieces
3) Offer any combo of the above.
4) I'll go further. I expect the ability to customize our "throne room" via online purchases.
It will be interesting to see how the crafting design mechanic will look. Will it have pre-existing slots in weapons/armours? Increased crafting complexity via schematics? Will it add runes to the mix.? The game designers would look smart if only one Crafting Table is used.
DA4 design considerations will definitely include MP combat and MP level progression which will impact solo play combat . And, let's not forget loot drops of which Anthem is a disaster.
Yeah... I expect changes in DA4.

Still better than both DAI and ME:A. In DAI the available armor looks dropped as the game progressed, with interesting looks becoming obsolete and not being replaced. In ME:A everything just got junkier as you levelled up.
