thats true, been so long now all the years startin to blend together lmao. I guess the publishing of that Schreier article makes it seem more recent than it actually was, like my brain is thinking of a few months ago when the article itself was posted rather than the time before that it actually refers to in the text. certainly HOPE it's for DA4, I'm just so wary of freaking out about it tho cuz last time it had nothing to do with BioWare.

Yea, I think Schreier's article, which was mostly a re-hash of what he's already reported months/years ago makes the reboot seem more recent than it actually is.

That's true. The name Morrison suggests the projects are, at the very least, similar - both artists performed at the exact same time, were about as popular and, sadly, died young.

It's worth noting that only a small team (Mike called it a "skeleton crew") has been on DA4 until Anthem launched. And how many DA leads were also moved over to Anthem? So the team has only been ramping up since March-ish. I think it's still too early for VA-ing on DA, unless it's for some promotion.

It's worth noting that there are certain individuals on the forum that made it quite apparent a skeleton crew can accomplish more than we think. The major question now is whether the ramping up means that the serious work is just getting started or do those re-joining the team are there to basically finish the game. Given that the core team had about as much time to work on Morrison as they did on Joplin (and we have hints that there may be a lot of Joplin in Morrison) at a time they began ramping up, I'm not sure we can tell where exactly they are or how their work is scheduled.

The way I see it with DA 4s development only two scenarios are likely. They assume that to make a good tripple A game these days takes right about three years of dev time, no matter the genre*.

1. The game started development in 2017 and the Skeleton crew was able to get enough of the ball rolling that we can expect a 2020 (likely delayed to 2021) release.

2. The game only really started development after Anthem finished in which case we can expect a 2022 release date (likely delayed to 2023).

The only ancilliary evidence I have to support one over the other is that they did decide to tease the game at the GAs last year and...at least to the best of my recollection...as long as I have been following BioWare their pattern is pretty much release vague teaser then one year later release an actual trailer which is more or less the start of the media blitz until release. I also find it a bit...unlikely...that BioWare would just decide to release a trailer then wait for over an entire year before we get anymore teasers or trailers or media of any kind. BioWare is probably in a rock and a hard place but I can't imagine any scenario where people wouldn't become concerned if the next we hear about the game isn't going to be till...what? 2021 or 22?

The only two things we don't have an answer for which could effect this is:

A. How much has the 'skeleton crew' gotten accomplished in the two years of dev time already given?

B. How much of 'Joplin' is surviving in 'Morrison'?

Either of these questions could really effect the dev time and eventual release.

The only real problem in waiting is that the longer I have to wait, while I can wait 'pateintly' (more or less) my wife may kill me if we have to wait for the game to come out in 2023 and all my references of 'I Can't wait for the next Dragon Age'. Which of course I am already hyped for the game and the 'media blitz' hasn't really begun yet.

I mean I'd try and find something to take my mind off of it but the trouble is *everything* reminds me of DA pretty much these days in one way or another. Play Mass Effect? Its done by BioWare. Play Assassin Creed Odyssey? 'Fantasy' RPG with swords and bows. (and a few GP tropes I hope they utilize for four to boot) Watch Game of Thrones? Epic dark fantasy. Watch Arrow? More bows.

So yes, I am truly doomed.

At one point, we considered adding Dalish to DAI multiplayer.
We were going to have one of her talent trees be filled with all kinds of spells and just label it “Archery.”

Let's see if they get a robust pre-alpha version for this Christmas.

So is Bioware really behind this or is it just someone else's mod? There seems even less reason to change her face considering the epilogue to Trespasser definitely has her handing over the reins of her spy network to her protégées, so why would she even appear?
