So they name-dropped the * Hossberg Wetlands* (near Weisshaupt) in the Discord Q&A, as one of the two largest explorable areas in the game (along with Arlathan Forest). The new Hinterlands?

Question about transmog: if fashion comes into play when choosing your faction (they've said as much and we'll even have a sort of "endgame" gear/look preview), then what's stopping you from going ex: Shadow Dragon, but with the Crows' armor aesthetic transmog'ed into it? I don't think anything is stopping you. As I understand it, you'll get gear from all factions and they get better stat-wise the more you work with those factions. They said yesterday that when you pick up a piece of gear, its appearance is also registered in the transmog system, so you can be a Shadow Dagon with the Crows aesthetic if you want. Also been thinking about the lack of a dyeing system like in Inquisition, they talked about armors having a variety of color schemes or themes, instead. I'm just hoping they're good... because default looted armor in DAI looked horrible and crazy, just... an assault to the eyeballs. Dyes were such a godsend, like it wasn't even funny. Yeah, it became even easier for me to not get the deluxe edition because of this. I don't like any of those armors but I may have possibly reconsidered if I saw that they dyed really nicely. DAI's tinting was based on the crafting system and if DAV doesn't' have actual crafting and only upgrading what you loot, that's probably why there is no recolor system.

I'm really amazed at what things are important to many players. And also that Bioware answers certain questions, ignoring the more technical ones "Can we hug the companions?" WTF is this really important??? it's action RPG...talk about gameplay not these useless things Dragon age is more than an action RPG. And gameplay wasn't the highlight this week. More on the technical part next week. Be patient.

4. Bellara = Room with head statue and with some green in ceiling. 6. Neve = Winding stairs room 7. Davrin = Cheese room for his Griphon I have to admit that I must reluctantly agree with others people that the forge room is more likely that of Davrin, particularly if Assan stays with him, I can imagine that having easy access to food may be reassuring to him. Also the Grey Warden shield on the wall of the forge sort of gives it away as Davrin's room. Haha, I don't know, I'm not sure of that. It's true that we see the Grey warden shield, but it might be tricky. I'd say the forge might actually be the room of Taash. Here : The first thing we learned about Taash, is that she is a "gym bro." We can clearly see an improvised bench press in the middle of the room. That totally fits that portrayal. I can't see anyone else using it instead of her, with such surname. A little further above, you also have two chains which end in two hoops which would allow you to do sport moves while suspended in the air. They are quite high, but we saw in the companion trailer that Taash jumps very high lol, and It wouldn't surprise me if she could reach them. Finally, there also appears to be gold and silver coins on the table to the left of the room. She's a lord of fortune, right ? That’s her thing ! Gathering the treasures found along the way. Now for Davrin, it might be this one for me : Davrin seems to be able to carve with his knife as seen in the lightouse pic. It seems to be his thing for entertaining, carving woods. There are piles of wood crops in this room. We also may have a monster trophy in the back of the room and a few on the right. On the left, we also have monster diagrams. Wouldn't Davrin as a hunter monster study their weaknesses precisely ? It is also worth noting the large windows on the right of the room, for maybe a big baby griffon to fly out ?

Yes, I can suffer through bad/boring gameplay if the story and/or characters are amazing. The best gameplay can't save a bad story or dull characters for me if I can't be invested in those. Companions are the "soul" for me. That being said it's a plus if the gameplay is great! But I'm not really that picky and I like to play quite a lot of different things. In this game, I haven't paid much attention to the companions. I know I like Harding because of her time in DAI. The others I don't know enough until I play the game. If the main character turns out to be a dud, no matter how much I like the companions, I will not like the game. With the combat, it looks ok even though I've moaned and groaned about a few things, but I'm not thrilled with the removal of the playable companion mechanic and the reduction in the number of companions taken on a quest. Yeah, we won't know how it will be in the game, but that is the fun about going to explore it and the companions (and Rook ). If I end up not liking the companions or Rook (highly doubt it, as so far I always found something likeable in BW titles), then that is how it is. I can live with whatever comes out of it. If I don't like it I play the old games instead Or others. If the combos are like in Andromeda I might also not like it so much, but we have yet to see how it feels when we actually play it, so for now, I keep an open mind about it. Reduction of companions is a bit odd, yeah, but it worked in Mass Effect with a team of 3, so it could work here as well

All mages can use staves and then have a second slot for a secondary weapon. So Spellblade will have a staff in one slot and the dagger/orb in another. Why you said like other Mage specialization can't access to dagger/orb As i understand it and with the warrior gameplay we have seen: I belive all mages have staff and a dagger/orb as second weapon (maybe you can change the dagger in another short weapon). They have said classes are weapon restricted.

It would be a good place for someone like him. But with the shield i can't thing of someone that take a room with a symbol of a different faction as they represent their faction.

Yeah... agreed. Those cosmetic armours are totally tasteless for me. Also clash with the game's colour tone and art style.
Armour mods will be found at NexusMods.com eventually that are waaay better than Bio gives you when pre ordering DA4.

I saw a tweet of Corinne yesterday (reported elsewhere) where she says that you can see the "sky" (fade) from Davrin's room. Also, on the far right, the drapes looks Qunari.

Aah... Room Assignment
It occurred to me each character chose an available room as they were recruited. No fuss. First recruit had seven to choose from, 2nd had six and so on. So, we may all be wrong!!

I apologise if I missed it but I haven’t seen anyone mention that they confirmed that mages, including evoker, will have access to more than ice magic. Thought it was worth pointing out given that many thought we were going to be railroaded into using one element.

My understanding is that we have three types: Death Caller Spellblade Evoker
Evoker has the elemental mastery of Ice, Fire and Lightning.

Possible replay value from Bio's perspective is choices in companion interaction that leads to "new" dialogue + char class selection + choices from the main story Arc. These choices will give us new while dropping old dialogue and I'm sure new discovery paths. To what extent and how it impacts us, remains to be seen. Bio marketing is Big on description+promises and small on actual game content reflecting the marketing spiel.
Combat tweaks as described by Corrine regarding companion DPS may be what I'm looking for in fight engagements.... though if they are tied to combos I'll scream bloody murder!!! The timer levers Corrine described all seem to allow Rook to make successful "hit & run" tactics.... doing nothing to increase companion DPS. Hell, they are there to give Rook the occasional grenade or mortar shot to the enemy.
Ranger Class is next on the list, I believe. Corrine mentioned the class is long range and the demo shows the Ranger staying put and pick off enemy units at a distance.... we'll see.

That is true and Corinne said their room had a good view. Perhaps Taash acquired the Grey Warden shield on her travels or even Davrin gave it to her for some reason. You certainly have a point that those may be Davrin's trophies from his hunting exploits and he would want to study the monsters the better to kill them. So those two rooms could be interchangeable between Davrin and Taash but the forge room is definitely not Lucanis' lair.

What a disappointing "companions reveal week", just a bunch of images. The good thing, september is around the corner and with it we'll at least get some footage from IGN....

It occurred to me each character chose an available room as they were recruited. No fuss. First recruit had seven to choose from, 2nd had six and so on. So, we may all be wrong!! That's why I assumed poor old Lucanis got lumbered with the store/larder because he was the last one in but thinking about it I do think he might prefer somewhere harder for people to sneak up on him, so even if he arrived ahead of some of the others he still opted for that room. But my first guess was it is Lucanis room. See my comment above. We might think it looks a little spartan but he might prefer it that way. He doesn't forge weapons, he just looks after them well.

What a disappointing "companions reveal week", just a bunch of images. The good thing, september is around the corner and with it we'll at least get some footage from IGN.... We got some good companion info, including spoilers, in the Q&A yesterday. Neve was in the first Vows&Vengeance audio drama episode and it's not even her focus episode. We learned the name of every Companion active abilities. We had screenshot of each companion room in the Lighthouse which tells us a bit about them. Outside of spoiling the game even more, I'm not quite sure what you were expecting and VA can't participate because they are on strike.
