We need more samples to do a proper study. I think Bioware should release ME5, JE2, KOTOR3 and DA5 within the next 2 years so we can view the effects.

Do you guys have any behind the scenes content planned?

Feels utterly strange that in just over 6 hours we'll have the Metacritic and reviewer's thoughts on a new Dragon Age game. In 3 days we'll be playing it.

TBH, I'm hyped (we're in release week, I'm finally in actual hype) to play the game anyway, so TBH that Metacritic/Opencritic score could go in either direction and I'll likely not care a huge deal because I'm just looking forward to playing it. The game is what WE make it, after all

I think - for BioWare - so long as the game is an 80+ overall, that's probably a solid win for them. Of course, they'll want more, but I still believe 8/10 games are still good games overall.

Only a few hours now, so we'll see.

I have to go back to work like 10/15 minutes after the reviews drop.

I think if the game scores 85+, that's largely sufficient enough to be seen as a good game in the eyes of many, and well ahead of the reviews assigned to Andromeda or Anthem. Considering how tumultuous this games development has been, having such a score would be a success on its own.

The game could receive a point higher than Inquisition and could still be considered lackluster. I never got over people saying Inquisition won many GOTYs because it was an overall weak year. I feel sorry for BioWare from time to time due to unfairness it had always faced. Witcher 3's open world was truly marvelous but I disagreed with people diminishing Inquisition's success because of what they feel there's a better game. I would still be enjoying what I love and don't give a care towards what I'm not interested in. Despite I love Witcher 3's open world much better than any of Dragon Age's maps and liked its characters, I'd always prefer Dragon Age because of its worldbuilding and lore. I have little doubt that they would win me over those fronts and that's already enough for me. Gameplay is icing on the cake and so far, it's seemingly the best Dragon Age combat for me.

A few years ago, one game I was looking at had a reviewer wrote a very positive review with zero negatives in it (not even things he didn't like about it or bugs) and then he put a 7/10 on it. Like, what? 

A good deal of truth here.
A 7.9 is a world of difference from an 8.0 bizarrely.

It may also polarise. I could see 10’s and 6’s.

I will have 10 days straight for just Veilguard. I can take more if I feel like it. But I suspect 10 days should be enough to do a full playthrough and maybe even start a second one.
