Yeah, I've mentioned this before, but I definitely do feel as though the art direction will be one of the more (if not THE most) polarizing aspect of this game. Subsequent to that will likely be a cessation of some of the deeper RPG mechanics (i.e. Party Control, limited to 2 companions, 3 dedicated skills, lack of keep choices, etc).

I definitely anticipate a lot of balance changes. Hopefully, there's not banter bugs. Maybe they might tune up some of the facial animations, since that is something that I do think is a bit subpar in some of the interactions I've seen.

I think would could be an interesting play for BioWare, as a free option, is if they included a multitude of new options in the character creator (periodically). Whether its new hairstyles, new skin texture features (ex. scars, tattoos, blemishes, etc), or even allowing for more distinct proportion, it could be a content delivery style unique to them that would continue to have fans making (and sharing) new characters. It could also be buttressed with new Transmog items. I don't think they would have to necessarily be loot drops in the world or stores. It could just be cosmetic-only items.

They already made some tweaks to CC, so I hope that they will provide free updates to it after the release.

I also think that they really should add toggle to notifications that you get when after you make certain decisions/pick dialogue options. Personally, I don't care about it, but I can see it being annoying for a lot of people.

I hope you all don't forget that a low score doesn't equal you're not going to love the game.

I happen to love DA2 and MEA more than the other mainline titles. Some of my other favourites are the Thief reboot, XCOM The Bureau, FF8, etc all of which arguably the least popular entries in their series. But they all just have these things about them that clicked for me and just like that, outweigh all the factual, objective flaws which were universally lamented.

It's intriguing to track this for that championship excitement and/or pass the time, but please don't do this to yourself and silently assume should the game not get rated 10/10, that there's anything lost for you. Or you could only enjoy this with gritted teeth. You'll still get a whole new story with a bunch of chatty, sexy fantasy people, and we're all here to filet every plot apart together to our heart's content in here. You know that's what's gonna happen. We like games for the weirdest reasons because it's emotional art and there's nothing gained with pessimism just to conform to an internet opinion. It might still be exactly what you waited to love for 10 years despite a 60% or whatever.

100% this! These games are equivalents to my books/TV shows/etc. and how I wind down. Enjoying a good story and good gameplay with some witty banter sounds like a pleasurable way to spend my (very limited) downtime.

Why anyone cares what some rando on the internet puts on some arbitrary score card will forever be a mystery to me.

I don't know what scores Inquisition got, and it doesn't matter. As far as I'm concerned, that game is beyond scores. It transcends them. It gave me so many hours of enjoyment, there is no score high enough.

With any luck, Veilguard will be at least half that good.

Can someone just tell me if she liked how Inquisitor was handled or not?

The early reviews are extremely positive, I'm so pumped rn! I hadn't pre-ordered the Veilguard yet but now's the time, just for Blood Dragon armour

So here we are, where Blizzard put a 90$ mount in the cash shop in a fully sub mmo and everyone buy it in a heart beat, but for a brand new 60$ game, we need reviews from this so called youtube beggars to decide to buy it or not.
