I'm certain that, if it were not so complicated, we'd absolutely have a DA Trilogy remaster by now. Something that would have filled in the space in the 10 years between Inquisition and Veilguard, just like the ME:Legendary Edition did between Andromeda and the next ME. If possible, it'd be smart to have a trilogy remaster come out the same day they decide to pull the plug on the Keep.
And even though I think actual remakes are extremely, incredibly unlikely, I do think we have a slightly higher chance of getting a remake for a DA game rather than a ME one.

Can a remaster, or even remake be done externally then? I wouldn't be surprised if there were studios eager to wrangle with DAO, although of course there's a question of cost/benefit ratio to EA.

It's the final braincell, no?

A complete remake would probably be easier, cost a bit more and bring larger revenue.

Did you try the following from bsn.boards.net/thread/14707/crashes-origins-any-find-solution ??  I tried it a few days ago (after installing redirect.viglink.com/?key=71fe2139a887ad501313cd8cce3053c5&subId=6576594&u=http%3A//www.ntcore.com/4gb_patch.php) for 4GB memory patch and it seemed to work, but I only played the Dalish origin.

Try this:

Right Click on DAO game and Run as Admin.
When you get to the Title Screen, hit CTRL- ALT- Delete.
When the Task Manger box pops-up, click the tab at the top that says details.
Find DAO.exe and Right click on it. Find Affinity and set it too all.
Close your Task Manger and Return to your game.

Honestly for a DAO remake wouldn't mind some meddling. Just nuke Oghren from orbit and adjust Morrigans approval so it actually makes sense and think we'd have a much better game.
