If they next game increase that much then DA5 won't be out until 2037-2042
It'd be nice if they could make the rest of the games the way Peter Jackson filmed all the LOTR movies: all 3 in a single project but released 1 year apart.

It should be pointed out that the closeness of release between DAO, DAA, and DA2 was due of EA's decision of rushing towards the release of a sequel of DAO, which lead to both DAA and DA2 being releated as a buggy mess (and for DA2, also rushing things too much).
For 'DA4' the opposite situations arose by the cancellation of the original project and possibly Bioware's internal problems due to Anthem and other things. Both time of development, of DA2 and 'DA4', aren't the normal ones. A 3 to 4 year span should be the normal range.
This whole thing leads credence to the idea that this should maybe be the last DA game at least in this storyline/ main line. As much as I'd hate it maybe just make a 200 hour live service master piece go out on a bang and do something else.

ea.gr8people.com/index.gp?method=cappportal.showJob&opportunityID=160384 Bioware is hiring a franchise technical director again. It still requires multiplayer experience but this time it is for 'the next major title in one of BioWare’s most prestigious franchises' instead of Dragon Age specifically. Either the current DA technical director is going to leave, or they are hiring for ME.

Isn't it kinda how they make Asassin's Creeed? But Ubisoft is a giant compared to Bioware, AFAIK.

They do have studios all over thw rold so they can have two of them working on two seperate games in a franchise at the same time. I don't actually know how many Ubisoft studios there are tbh...
Or one working on games and one working on DLC.

Yeah, Ubi has dozens of studios around the world and a small army to help coordinate them. And you're right, they typically work on two at the same time, one spearheaded by Montreal, the other by Quebec City, and just stagger the releases. IIRC, 10 studios worked on AC: Odyssey.

Was it in AC:Unity where the end credits lasted like tens of minutes - I remember watching it mouth open and listing many many places for development teams.

My Inquisitor doesn’t drink.
Maybe its non-alcoholic, just for taste?

Only two franchises I could see it being... Mass Effect or the long desire Knights of the Old Republic 3. I'll take either. (Both please)
Flukas @flukasskywalker Dear @bioware @patrickweekes @john_Eppler Please hire @nerdi_nikki . She has GREAT ideas like: Instead of just having your protaganist doing quests / loyalty quests for other ppl... how about your companions do a quest for YOU the player? She's really smart! And a good person!
Patrick Weekes @patrickweekes I love this idea! Don’t know if it would work for the game we are making, but cool to explore regardless.
Also, doesn’t Nik prefer they/them?
Nik 🏳️🌈 @nerdi_nikki That’s correct, I do prefer they/them. Thank you.
I was considering exploring it in my own potential maybe game design or at least just...inane idle backstory fodder for writing about my current Inquisitor.
I appreciate the enthusiasm 😅
Patrick Weekes @patrickweekes It brings up some interesting questions. In Inquisition, while you can control anyone in combat, you do all quests as the Inquisitor. People identify with the Inquisitor as their avatar.
If you control Sera or Bull for a quest without the Inquisitor, you could further the story, but you the player are more “story author” than Inquisitor.
I could see some people loving that and some feeling like it hurt immersion.
I’m interested, though, whatever we end up doing. DAO had cutaways (Loghain doing bad stuff while the Warden is elsewhere), but in DAI, we mostly left those out, limiting the world to (mostly) what the Inquisitor experienced.

Doing more could let us tell stronger stories.
Nonono....not more of me the player knowing more of what's going on than me the PC. Just noooooo....
Wouldn't the ambush by Zevran have been way more intriguing if you didn't know ahead of time he was sent by Loghain?? There's literally no reason to talk to him afterwards, which is probably why so many missed out on recruiting him the first time they played.

That's like some companions rescuing the HoF in DAO after meeting Anora. Personally I wouldn't mind some quests like that but I don't want it to be like Original Sins 2.

I generally prefer in video games to avoid cutaways as much as possible.
But this does bring in some of the things in Andromeda, particularly I think it was Drack's loyalty mission...sometimes your companions could make their own choices. The player can offer advice and even influence that choice, but in the end the choice itself is theirs.
