Idk the red image looks like the outline of a dragon to me
Karin seemingly made a distinction between the photos. It does look like an outline of a dragon, especially how the red lyrium-top wings curve up. Cute.
Also, The body and middle of the piece vibrates like a heartbeat. Also cute.
Edit: Suck at copy and pasting, but Karin responding to a fan on twitter who thanked the team for the images:
“Honestly, we are SUPER EXCITED when something like this happens! Our marketing and communications teams work really hard to create these presentations, and I cheered when I saw - it was a surprise to me, too!”
I find that interesting, especially given the image she pointed out!
Gabe Heiland @norseartemis As some here have learned, my job is data and giving the team feedback on what the people crave. So I feel like I should find out, do you want to date the tree?
1. Yes, the tree is hot! 2. If it has a tragic past 3. Tree & I are just friends 4. Rivalmance only
Red Lyrium tease alone was enough for me... and I just finished Origins and 2 and sliding into Inquisition now so my patience is gone.... giiimmmmeeeee. Nooooooow.

Does anyone else see an outline of a body in that red lyrium center piece? There are specific shapes unique to that area, the base, that are different than the rest - long vertical lines and short clustered pieces of glowing red. The vertical shapes look like arms, while the clustered pieces make up the torso and a twisted, horrible face. The shape also seems to resemble the center figure of the Red Lyrium Idol. 👀

Hmm... looking at them side by side I'm not so sure.

Thanks for taking the time to draw comparisons Hungr! It’s not an exact match - but it does look like something more specific as one’s eye goes from top to bottom.

I am not normally one to rant but I think this has broken me, I am sick of waiting for DA4 and I am not even sure now if I will even play it when it does release, just out of sheer annoyance at the length of time. This is not a flippant statement like many others on this site I have put thousands of hours into DA games and was incredibly invested in the story and characters.
It's now been almost 6 years since DAI released (a game I played solidly for almost two years (1600hrs of gameplay IIRC) and it will be potentially another 2 years before they release DA4 and all they can do is tease that an announcement is coming. And then they say/announce nothing and give only what is three "possible" images of a DA game to tease it.
How can a company that released 3 ME games between 2007 and 2012 and 3 DA games between 2009 and 2014 now only have Anthem and MEA as releases over the past 6 years. Even MEA is now 3 years old should and should be due to get a sequel if there is even one contemplated but who would know as they communicate nothing and just expect customers to faithfully wait. It's a terrible indictment on Bioware and their communication strategy not to mention their project management skills.
It's also a terrible way to treat your customers and it isn't doing anything for their reputation or their income stream.
I just realized the scale of this shot, so it doesn't seem likely it'll has anything to do with idols or human-sized statues. If you look at the size of the stairs, those lyrium formations must be huge.

I had a moment of AHA when I thought there were only 3 pulsing parts in the heart, making me think of the 3 figures in the idol so I thought there was some kind of connection. But I looked more closely at the footage and it's more parts that pulse - 3 expand and contract, then it looks like 3 others expand and contract, kind of like a heart.

Yeah, getting major MEA flashbacks from the use of 'soon'.
Soon will be the VGAs, maybe, with another teaser, then we'll see some prorotype footage in EA Play 2021 and nothing in between. Six months is soon, right?
When I die, I want Bioware to carry my casket, so they can let me down, one last time.

I give it 18 months before we see or hear anything vaguely committal in regards to the setting/protagonist.

I hope not. How can they not even have that down enough to answer?

AND SO WE BURNED. WE RAISED NATIONS, WE WAGED WARS, WE DREAMED UP FALSE GODS, GREAT DEMONS WHO COULD CROSS THE VEIL INTO THE WAKING WORLD, TURNED OUR DEVOTION UPON THEM, AND FORGOT YOU.
After time adrift among open stars, past tides of light, and through shoals of dust, I will return to where I began.

I'm sure they already have those answers, they just don't want to give them to us yet. And won't until they're ready to start the full marketing process and actually announce the game properly.

Then if they aren’t ready, they need to stop with these teases, including the tweets.
