Anno 1800 is now exclusive to the Epic store, but considering all Ubisoft games require Uplay it's not really a big deal, can just buy directly from Uplay.

It makes sense and doesn't at the same time. For one, well we know this was a very real possibility, but then you have the fact that all the other games they announced at PAX including the remasters were on Steam, and in some case a Steam exclusive too.
I understand that this is a snap shot too, so this tweet did happen, also it would be kinda hard to fake a video too (even though the video shown is basically the trailer, but it has different writing in it).
As for being a joke, I don't know. Gearbox can be pretty trolley, but this I believe is not something they would joke about.

The publishing decision strictly depends on the publisher, and 2K being 2k... well what can be expected. They're the ones who pushed for an exclusivity deal for The Outher Worlds too. If if was up to Randy, he'll have it on the Epic store too I believe, but with the caveat that will also be on Steam. 2k only cares for money, so the deal gives them instant millions, I doubt GBX is gonna see a single penny out of that deal.

As for stolen builds and what not, more BS. It's gonna achieve nothing, and again sounds convenient to talk about Pirate Bay and what not after so many people said they're gonna pirate the game until it hits Steam next year.

Yeah, it will be an exclusive to Epic surely, 2K is on a roll. I personally don't care for RD2, and I'm sick of Rockstar's/whoever bullshit of having games on console then one year later bring them to PC and ask 60 dollars like if it was brand new. Fuck off. I'm done with them.

So besides the 1 year exclusivity on Epic, the PS version will have additional exclusive content not available on XB/PC.
So don't waste money on this unless you get it on PS.

Console exclusivity crap is nothing new really, they've been doing it since the dawn of man. "Our platform is the best to play this game, we have extra shit you won't get in the others, so buy our console!" Yeah... no.

So, why are achievements platform based and not GAME based? DAO had achievements without ever having to even install Origin (I bought it on disk originally). Same with ME1/2 - the achievements are part of the game (and accessible via the game) not the vessel through which you play it.

That's kind of my point....why are achievements now considered "online stuff" instead of "game feature"?
