Mass Effect Trilogy, Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age Inquisition, KOTOR, Baldur's Gate, Mass Effect Andromeda, Anthem, Mass Effect Legendary Edition
Just got my link to beta EA Desktop download and I am so confused. I can't even find where to uninstall games on it
you'llprobably have t ogo via th eapps or uninstall programs part in Windows then.
You'd think at least option to uninstall would be there For now - unsurprisingly - it's a mess. I'll play with it a bit more, fill the survey and get back to Origin.

www.nexusmods.com/news/14373 Nexus Mods to ban all political mods, of course we know only the "wrong" political mods will be removed. Apparently it's not enough modders face issues from publishers, we gotta regulate optional mods which no one is forced to download regardless of their quality or message.

This ban will apply to all mods uploaded from the 28th of September onwards. We will review this restriction sometime after the next President of the United States has been inaugurated.

Get ready for tire free facial animations, soon. ML powered animations for EA on the horizon. As Seb describes in his video, animation costs will go down dramatically, development times will decrease exponentially and the trained ML model that produces the animations can be less than 100 mb, offering vastly superior size efficiency.
As we're being shown some very nice basketball animations, I would not be surprised if and when EA's NBA Live makes a return, this will be integrated into the game.
When I die, I want Bioware to carry my casket, so they can let me down, one last time.

That is interesting, it could also be what is needed for BioWare to be able to implement player races as well, for right now I think the animations are what hurts the implementation of them in the game because it is so much additional work to do.

It's going to solve a whole lot of problems in a multitude of tasks. Developers are looking into ML models that generate scenebuilds and terrain with early builds showing promise. Eventually, the games will be programmed to generate themselves, drastically cutting down development costs and time. And you can be sure, other publishers are looking into developing their own ML models for these tasks internally, not just EA.

Godfall will require an always online connection even when playing Solo, no offline SP/Solo.
Counterplay Games previous game was Duelyst, which also required internet connection and was shutdown on 27 Feb 2020 after 3-4 years. The game is also published by Gearbox who are shutting down Battleborn on Jan 2021 after 4-5 years.
So beware you're buying a product with a 4~ year expiration date.

The issue I have is more on the dialogue end, not so much animation. Beyond multiplayer, I don’t really see BioWare pulling a whole lot of stops to implement player options to the more “periphery” species anyway. It will really come down to the breadth of dialogue we can realistically expect on the word budget a wider variety of species options given might permit. I have very low expectations on how impactful the story or dialogue would be depending on the species you choose, as in I expect no impact at all.
For me, what this might mean is the hope that we can get more cutscenes in general as cost of producing these animated sequences might go down, so maybe we won’t need to have a lot of dialogue be relegated to the over the shoulder moments we get in Inquisition and Andromeda.

That has to do more with the camera and tracking, which as John Epler already told us, just might not be doable.

When I say dialogue, I mean simply the voiced lines used for each respective PC gender and species. Facial animation is a different issue.

Well, that's not going to change in terms of budget, at all. Cutting costs from animating, doesn't mean reallocating them to VA budget. It means less costs for the publisher.

That was really about the species option, which would affect the word budget, since each option outside of the asari necessitates 2 extra VA’s.

In ME you could get away with it with a voice filter for either Turian, Krogan, Quarian, Salarian or Drell. You just need a good audio person for that, though, but it's still going to come in cheaper than 2 extra VAs. You might even get away with a smaller audio file size, if you have a good audio engineer, that bakes in the voice filter, to the game engine.

If I am understanding what you are saying correctly, it still can have an impact on the amount of voice acting they are implementing in the game for they won't have the same workload of syncing the characters to the dialogue. It won't add more voice actors, but it might allow for more lines of dialogue to be added to give a more unique experience for the different races since the facial sync will be a more automated process instead of having to go back and touch up all the facial animations manually.
Very good. Significant uplift in the CPU segment, the unnamed stock navi seems to be on par with stock 3080 in the same games. I assume AIB navi models will perform similar to AIB ampere models. Price and software suites will determine this outcome. I 100% expect AMD's models to be whisked from existence on launch and for several months since that, just like nvidia.
