DoctorDAM Got the books earlier today. Already started reading the Revan novel. I am currently on chapter 2, both chapters 1 & 2 are about a Sith Lord called Darth Scourge. So far it's been a good read. Since I am an Exile fan I hope they mention her at some point in the book.

All classes have 3 chapters, then it move the Ilum and then post core-content (see the answer to your other question).

I suggest you finish the Novel before you do the flashpoints Taral V/Maelstrom Prison and/or before you finish the JK's Chapter 2, i.e. stop before finishing Hoth (well the mission after Hoth). Otherwise you'll have the novel content spoiled to you.


The order you do the class story doesn't really matter. Agent and Consular are the ones with the most references to the other classes, so probably better to do them later. The rest are more "standalone", but Trooper and Jedi Knight follow a lots of the same story "tropes" so you might prefer to space them a bit.

If you mean playing the proper timeline, I remember doing the exercise and the order change by planet. It got real complex at some point. Also, while the Agent makes a lot of references and people suggest to play it last, it's one of the earliest class through the planets timeline-wise. 

After you are done with the class story, you'll get a quest to go to Ilum. Then you get the post release content, most it is auto granted, but some you need to use the console on your ship. Content gets unlocked based on your level too so it can get confusing. The Order:
- Makeb (Rise of the Hutt Cartel), 
- Forged Alliance, not an expac, multiple story flashpoints with a connected storyline that leads to
- Shadow of Revan + Ziost (end of never subbed available content)
- Knight of the Fallen Empire
- Knight of the Eternal Throne
- Fractured Alliance (similar to Forged Alliance)
- Ossus 
- Onslaugth
- Legacy of the Sith 

Full story path: www.reddit.com/r/swtor/wiki/story/, you can ignore everything not on the main line (mostly group only content). Also, CZ-198 is just a daily zone and Seeker Droid/macrobinucolar are optional with low story content.

I really wish bioware didn’t abandon HK-51 like they did over the last decade. HK-55 was completely unnecessary.

Yes this is the same series of assassin droids from KOTOR 2. There are no mentions of HK-50's at all in SWTOR from what I remember, so I guess they didn't retcon the HK factory arc completely out of the story as they keep referencing the same inconsistencies that still haven't been corrected in their programming.

But in SWTOR they are referred to as yet another buried Czerka secret and it isn't explained how an HK factory got on the crashed sith warship in the first place. Moving the story forward past the base game will make these interactions in the video below impossible to see.



It is completely paywalled under the "Section X access" in the cash shop and is the most tedious fetch quest SWTOR ever made. Involves at least 1 toon for Republic and Empire and a ton of RNG area scanning. Though iirc they nerfed it heavily over the years.  Thank the force there is a 1 mil credit "unlock Hk-51" legacy perk for other characters on your account after you did the quest once.

Still totally worth it for the knife tricks and HK-47 quotes he does constantly in combat. But the Story will constantly act like HK-51 does not exist and the Zakool arc was especially annoying when you could just summon him the entire time, so why should I care about HK-55 again?

Bullshit.

The subscription as it stands today, only gives you all of the expansions and xp gain bonuses, not the bonus missions where you unlock HK-51 and HK-55 as companions.

They did do subscription rewards off and on over the years. It was sometimes bugged so subscribers did not get the rewards for the month. Like how I missed out on the rapid recon walker mount that is not obtainable anymore.

I still have the HK-55 promotional set. The helmet really needed a rework since it just looks bad with your character's bare chin sticking out of it. There is no balaclava under it like there should be.

Looks like they decreased the amount of CC you can earn throughout the Season by half as well as increased the cost of the season rewards in the unlocks...poor form from a company that has released barely anything the entire year and most of which they have has been buggy as shit lol. Like hey we know the "Expansion" was a load of ass and we butchered what made many classes fun but hey give us more money...it's amazing how poorly this game is handled.
