I wonder if this is something I missed without realizing it? What did I probably miss? sjsharp2010 , I didn't realize this was Respawn's first SP game. They did a good job. Agreed on the comments about Trilla being pretty, and also playing "crazy" really well. When I first saw her I thought, "Oh, she's pretty." When the crazy eyes started I thought, "Pretty eyes. She's nuts." Mirren is also pretty. I could see that even with the all of the obscuration when Cal first met her. Maybe they'll be a pair at some point? They, like all of the human characters, look a lot like their VAs. All of the VAs did a great job. The writing was pretty good, too. The cheesiness was very low for a SW production. The whole escape sequence is worth failing to see the ways Cal dies. If you don't attack at the start and run to the door, Vader calls you "coward" and still pulls you in. If you turn around when running afterwards, he Force chokes you instantly. If you fail the QTE prompts, Vader crushes BD before dealing with Cal, etc. Aaaah, Mirren... Next game's bae The shipping was pretty obvious with all the Dathomir tension and the scenes afterwards. But I would love something like Jedi:Rising Sister with Mirren as the protagonist, maybe as Cal's padawan, combining her witchcraft with new Jedi tricks.
You sure? It's pretty difficult to get somewhere and be stuck in this game. Maybe you just didn't find the way out yet. You can just restart the game and continue from the last meditation point. And should be no way to get stuck if there is a meditation point nearby.
Between Cal and Vader, they will take Cal any day M ylas tmeditation sav ewas in that area It's OK thoughbecause I enjoyed iy tenough tha tI will start again I'm jus tgoing to save i tfor later though.Besides i tshouldn't take m etoo long t oget back ther so long as I remember the path and my mistake. so I ca navoid it. It's no tthe firsttime I've made a mistake like that on a game though and I've had to restart before after making simila rmistakes. It's kind o fan easy mistake to make on a first playthrough if you'er not tha tgood at map reading which to be fair I'm not. But then Geography was never my strongest subject. I d oknowwhat I did though so it's just a case of redoing the level without the mistake when I feel ready to go back. I did enjoy it so you can bet I will be going back for another try as I did enjoy that run up to that point a lot it's just a matter of when.

And hotness. When she took the helmet off I was all "I see what you did there!". And the actress portraying her is a pretty close match as expected. They nailed the crazy ingame vibe too. I won't lie, if it was a Bioware game I would have gone Sith there.Same here.
If Bioware had made this game, she'd have definitely been a romance option.

Pretty sure if BioWare made the game I would have read over ten articles about how the one elevator is animated backwards.

I finished the story after about 35 hours of play, which I find is a pleasant amount of content - enough to feel that I definitely got my money's worth, but not so much that I would be hesitant to start a new playthrough later. My planet exploration rate is in the high 90s to 100, and there was one skill I couldn't buy yet before going to the final confrontation. Played at Jedi Master difficulty and found it just right - challenging enough to not be a pushover, doable enough to not frustrate me. I greatly enjoyed the gameplay and story and found the ending quite satisfying, and if they make a sequel with this crew I'm definitely in. I also liked that the story gave me an "The Eagle Has Landed" / "Day of the Jackal" feel. ...where you know that the main character won't succeed no matter how resourceful they are because the outcome is already known. 9/10 would get force choked again! Some niggles: I'm not sure whether it is tied to the chosen difficulty, but the combat seemed a bit unfair in that it is very easy for Cal to get interrupted while you have to work hard to get an opening with a perfectly timed parry. Some enemy flurry attacks that were not marked as unblockable were hard to get out of once the first of them hit you. However, since Cal is quite inexperienced compared to some of the enemies he's facing I was actually mostly okay with it. Many of the unlockable cosmetics are quite bland. I would have been fine with half of the amount if they looked more distinguishable. I mostly switched between the same few ponchos that had some emblems or special materials that made them stand out, like Rainforest, Fjord, Free Kashyyyk and Hyper Shell. The same goes for the other cosmetic categories. I liked the lightsaber ones better, but they are harder to see during normal gameplay. Overall a very fun game that will get its share of replays.

I played on Jedi Knight, and got interrupted all the time in boss fights. Less so in mook squad fights, but it did happen on occasion.
It was annoying, but not enough to ruin the experience for me.

But then as I've said before it wouldn' tbe a Star wars gam /movie without at least 100 dead stormtroopers during it. I will say one thing though this is definitely my GOTY for 2019.

I play on Story Mode, but still have a ton of fun. I really like BD-1, he's quite cute and has a wonderful personality thanks to Ben Burtt (it's nice to see him involved with STAR WARS again after being shafted some years ago....Or so I'd read.) the more I play this game, the more I really can't find anything wrong with it on PC. The story is great, the characters are interesting and well acted/voiced/animated, the music is great and fits the Universe perfectly and the combat/gameplay is addictively fun and also challenging. Challenging enough to penalize you for stupid mistakes and yet reward you for great execution (looking at you sliding sequences)..... I am doing my second run through and find myself enjoying it as much as the first time. And this time around I want to see if I can discover things that I had missed before.

Yeah I definitely plan on comin gback for a second run just not yet. It probably won't b euntil at least the new year though because I've just started another ME run a couple of days ago and that's likel ygoing to take my at least up until Christmas to complete and then I'll likel y wantt ospend some time with my Christmas games as I've got NFS Heat and Sonic Mania coming my way usually I buymy games an dwha tI wan tand then Mum gives me the money for it so we kind of choose our own presents and I chose those 2 games to be added to my Origin/Steam Libraries. So I'm likely going to want to play those. But yeah I like BD1 as well he's a cute swee tlittle bot they did a really good job with him.

Finished Fallen Order today. Not the best Star Wars game I've ever played but I still had lots of fun playing it. Cal's background story was something I really liked experiencing through his memories. It gave some depth to the otherwise very bland and generic player character. Nightsister Merrin was my favorite character. I wish she had been the player character to be honest. Maybe in the next game, as someone suggested. Ilum is one of my favorite planets so going there was probably the highlight of the game for me.
Since Fallen Order is very linear and there aren't any player choices it doesn't have much replay value. I didn't like the enemies respawning everytime Cal meditates or how much time you just spend running around and doing puzzles. Combat was okay I guess. It sometimes got very repetitive when you kill the same enemies all the time. I liked the purge troopers or whatever they were called. Their VA was great. The game had lots of memorable and beautiful moments for sure.

While I understand what you are saying about Nightsister Merrin, my thought process always goes back to they strip the player protagonist quite a bit so they become the avatar of the player. I bet if we were playing a Nightsister they would be pretty much as bland as Cal, but instead of having flashbacks of the Order 66 it would be the attack on the Nightsisters and very little else would change.

Rather than be able to play as Nightsister, I think I'd've preferred the option to play Cal as female. The name works still and they'd need another VA, but nothing about Cal's story mandated that he be male.
That being said, Merrin is awesome.

Looks like the game is getting a photo mode added. The other big thing I think a lot of people are asking for and getting is the coupler that is added near the end of the game so you don't have a rusted spot on your customized lightsaber.

I want to build my own custom lightsaber, but have no idea what I would be getting into or how to do it (I've never been very 'technically minded' and I don't have great fine-motor control) so I'm hesitant to start something so daunting and then get discouraged and not finish it. I also don't know how much it would cost, or what I would do with it when I was finished. Would it be a waste of money? Fun to do as I'm doing it, yes. But worth it....?

Beat it early last week, and had a generally positive time. Did second highest difficulty. I wanted to get the full 100%, but I only got the title through Gamefly and I wanted to be able to get Death Stranding. Overall: Good story, albeit predictable at times, but it made me nostalgic for the older metroidvania style games. 8/10 in my book, and I hope that we see more games like this in the future for the franchise.
Also, I agree with Gileadan about enemy interrupts. It's especially bad with those dual-wielding Inquisitor troops, and throughout my playthrough they were the most difficult enemy for me to have to go 1v1 against.

LIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD:
I thought it was interesting how Cere Junda knighted Cal with a red lightsaber. That, and this is the first time I've seen a Jedi and a Nightsister being not just allies but friends.
Nightsisters aren't Sith, but they use the Dark Side all the same. I wonder how Merrin's powers will change through continuing influence of the Light Side.

So as I was on Bogano to get the holocron, I stumbled into Cordova's workshop and *Pushed* a wall where I found a Bogling......I then got a databank update that said "Bogling COmpanion acquired!......." But I didn't have time to read the entry and not only can I not find the databank entry, but I can't find my bogling! I expected it to be stowed away on the Mantis somewhere, you know, kinda like the Space Hamster in ME:A (or ME for that matter).....But I can't find the pecker anywhere.
Has anyone else come across this? Does anyone know where I can look or how I can get him back? I'd like to keep the lil' guy on my ship if I can.....Though I know greeze will have a fit.
*Never mind. I just finished watching a youtube video and I see how they say he's been acquired..........The lil bugger is hiding in various places all over the ship though I can honestly say I never noticed him anywhere. However, I see now that I just didn't look in the right places. Clever how the Devs do that.....

Okay.....So just for giggles and the sake of curiosity, I installed Fallen Order on my Dad's PC. He's running an Intel 8700K with 32GB G.SKill @ 3000 Mhz with a newer RTX 2080 and a 32" 60 hz 4K BENQ monitor (mind you, I had v-sync turned ON just as I do with my own system). Normally with games like ANTHEM, DA:I or ME, I would honestly say I much prefer the way those games both look and play on my system at 1440p. Something about those games in 4K at 60hz, and the playability combined....just isn't right. I honestly think that for the games I play, my rig is the perfect balance- and I don't generally like the look of 4K at 60hz especially if you're playing with V-sync OFF because you get a ton of screen tearing.
But I have to say, I played through the opening level of Bracca on my Dad's system......and WOW, I was blown away with both the looks and the performance. I was expecting much the same as I always had gotten.... 'Looks okay, I guess. Doesn't really do anything for me.....and there's something, something about it that doesn't look right. Personally I would prefer the balance of graphics and performance, how it looks and plays on my own system....." That's the response I was expecting to have with Fallen Order. But I can honestly say, this is the first game I have tried that looks even better in 4K (even at 60hz) than 1440. The colour, the lighting, the textures, the overall detail is just much higher...looks more realistic on my dad's monitor and his set-up. And I was quite surprised how well it played. Yes he has a far newer system than mine, but with the exception of his RTX GPU, there' really isn't much difference over all between his rig and my own.....And as I said already, in most cases, I would choose my system over his even given the difference in playable resolutions.
But, my point is Fallen Order is damn impressive in 4K on a rig that can actually handle it........Makes me wanna play the game all over again on his system to get the fullest experience. (Kashyyyk would be gorgeous in 4K)......

Now on my fourth playthrough, still not tired of the story or characters but trying to pay more attention to the music this time around....and I have to say I really wish they would release an OST. I know, I know...I've said that at least twice before, but it's so true. I can't understand why they didn't. Furthermore, I've found each individual track on youtube which means, somehow, people have been able either to get their hands on a copy of it, or somehow found a way to isolate the music files within the directory and game files, and then compile playlists from wav files.
The more I hear the music, the more I want the OST. Make it happen, Respawn!

This week when playing Fallen Order, I am going to try really hard to find all of the lightsaber materials and parts. I've always been short by a half-dozen or so, though I've still managed to build I lightsaber I really like.

One thing I've noticed in Fallen Order....not sure if it is supposed to happen, whether it's happening for other players or whether it's something with my system, like the GPU drivers or something....But whenever I approach a Meditation circle or enter into an in-game cutscene that is near a meditation circle, like the refinery on Kashyyyk, the screen for a brief second gets this RGB haze to it and goes out of focus, like a VHS tape that is losing its colour. I see glimpses of unfocused RGB rings and/or things go out of focus.
I looked it up on youtube, and I can see the same thing happens on the Xbox version...so I would imagine it's something to do with the game design that is meant to happen.....It's just visually weird.

So today in Fallen Order I discovered there's several ways to get a double-bladed lightsaber without going Dathomir, even early in the game. You can go to Kashyyyk and then back to Bogano. During my second trip, I found Cordova's lightsaber and dismantled it at a workbench, then welded it to the one I already had.

still playing Fallen Order.....Though for the lack of posts about the game these days, I feel like I'm the only one. Is anyone else still enjoying the game as much as me?

still playing Fallen Order.....Though for the lack of posts about the game these days, I feel like I'm the only one. Is anyone else still enjoying the game as much as me? I think eople are just spacing there playthroughs out instead of doing 10 playthrouhg sall in one go In m ycase I have other games I wantto play as well though.I'm not planning on doing 10 back to back like yopu seem to be. Otherwise I find I get bored if I'm playing the same ggame and same levels bac kt oback. Fo rexampl ethe ME rtilogy plus Amndromeda I nevr gettierd of i tbecause th estories are spread out ove r4 games and you nebver are realy in the same locatiomns and eacvh run you can approach things differently depending on wha tclass you are whereas with JFOyou a rejust 1 character wit ha set of abilities tha tyo ucan upgrade but that's it. It's designed moer with action in mind rather than a lot of replayabilty so people may be spacing their playthrough's out because of that. I d ointend on coming bac ksoon but I personally have other games I want to play first.
