Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor

The game was a best seller already, it went beyond EA's expectations and sold eight million copies with a new expectation of selling ten million.  I know this is a BioWare board so people will ways want RPG elements, but at times I think they are more of a liability then an asset at times as it depends on the game. Fallen Order was sold as an action game and shoehorning too many elements to appeal to more audiences can hurt the game more then help it.  Right now I am thinking that is BioWare's biggest problem with constantly adding more elements and diluting the best parts of their games.

It could be just that there wasn't any decent or half decent single player Star Wars for a while now, and Fallen Order already is quite similar to ME games. The only thing missing is more complex dialogue options and ability to affect some quests and parts of the plot by your decisions. I think those would have helped the game, but also extend development and make it harder to write the sequel.

So besides not having two of the things people consider a signature BioWare elements with not having complex dialogue options and not having a squad that goes into combat with you they are almost the same? Not to mention the story is about the depth of a DLC from BioWare game and other secondary things that people would be wanting from a BioWare game such as choice of weaponry or ranged combat.  Yes its skill system is similar to Andromeda and you get the space wizardry aspect, but you are still missing a lot of elements that people talk about being in a BioWare game.

As far as "it only did well because there hasn't been a good game" doesn't mean the game automatically would do well if it wasn't a good game.

Purely out of curiosity I set V-Sync to OFF (normally I lock it so that my GPU doesn't produce screen tearing given that my monitor is only 59 or 60hz) and I was expecting some screen tearing at least.....But I was floored when I saw that my system was producing between 90 and 145 FPS (all Settings on EPIC) with absolute Zero screen tearing or lag even in intense action or scenes switches where sometimes, the camera has to catch up. It was flawless. But I still think for preference and for peace of mind, I'm gonna go back to locking the refresh rate.

Great Song! Damn, I wish they would release the whole OST (with that song on it). I honestly can't think of any reason why they haven't done that yet or didn't do that upon release.

Why "can't" they?  It's largely original music, not like they'd be re-using bits from the movies and therefore have copyright issues.  Yes, I know someone has done that- put an alleged soundtrack together but all it is is stuff from the movies............That's deceiving.

I saw that mentioned in the Star Wars (TV/Film) thread.  Bloody annoying that I literally finished my 2nd PT last night! 

I normally would be disappointed in the skills not transferring, but considering the story of the game and how its built I understand this time. I'm more than happy with us being able to transfer our cosmetics (plus Inquisitor Cal!). 

That is why I would have liked the skill points to carry forward.  That way the skills remain locked until you unlock them during the game, it just means you have the entire tier when you reach the point in the story you unlock them.

Fair enough.  I’m not quite that adamant about it, myself.  Her and Trilla were the best supporting characters in the game and well...Trilla seems a long shot as a returning character   , so I’d definitely like to see more of her.

Maybe even spend some time controlling her in a side mission. Rescue Cal, or something similar, as an example.

A few days ago. It wasn’t a trailer or anything, just a “we are working on this” confirmation. Release date expected to be somewhere in 2022.
