It was one amazing game story wise and from a gameplay point of view, only the Jedi Knight series had the sae feeling when playing as a Jedi. I really look forward to our heroes quartet in their next adventure.I wonder how far in the future they will set it. I agree, Shep; Fallen Order was the closest thing to the experience of playing as a Jedi Knight since the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series. And I, too, would like to see/wonder where they will take the story next-- if indeed they continue the plot of Fallen Order from where it left off.

The one thing I hope is that they keep Vader as a boogieman that really had nothing to do with the game. I think they had the right balance in the first game, but if they go beyond that I think it would be too much for a novice and in ways weakens Vader's all power status.

While in the context and setting of this particular chapter having Vader as a villain was not only really cool, but also made total sense- depending on the timeline/plot details, I'm not sure I would want to see Vader in the sequel-- at least not just for 'fan service'. I think his being an antagonist has to make sense, again, depending on WHEN they place the story and what the story is exactly. Otherwise, I think a 'new villain' (strictly for the purposes of this game) might be a better way to go. Those are just my first thoughts....we'll have to wait and see to hear about details. It's all in the details.

I liked how it was done in the first game, but my concern is that if used as an enemy in a game that he would be too easily defeated to show the strength of our character.

I don't think we need to worry about that. If there is one thing the new expanded universe is doing really well is showing Vader as a unstoppable juggernaut.
That being said i do believe his presence is possible after all he now knows of two Jedi alive. Even if Cal and Cere don't fight against him he could be the force directing the empire's efforts hunting both of them. That is if they (devs) decide to stay in the Empire era.

Does anyone know for certain if RTX Ray Tracing is available in Fallen Order? I've seen some youtube videos that says it is, but I don't know how to enable it. I think if it was possible, it would be adjustable in the Settings Menu, like the new DLSS feature in ANTHEM. Provided you have a card that supports DLSS that feature can be toggled in the Display/Graphics Settings, as I just found out this morning. I'm thinking the same would be true for Fallen Order or any other game that actually implements RTX, but other experience or opinions on this would be helpful to know for sure.

I think it can be enabled with a mod, but I didn't dig into it since I don't have an RTX card yet (come on, 3080Ti ROG Strix, release, release). As for DLSS, if it's 1.0, I won't bother, but 2.0...now that's another story.

As for DLSS, if it's 1.0, I won't bother, but 2.0...now that's another story. I'm betting that the price point for the regular 3080 model here in Canada will start at 1000 dollars and the TI series will be 1500 to 2000 plus. Our Canadian Dollar is currently sitting at 74 cents US and to convert US to CAD it's a conversion of $1.40 (1 USD is 1.40 CAD) so any reasonably priced card of 7 to 800 USD will be 1100 to start here in Canada. Even with our 'new but not improved free trade agreement' it sucks for us because there aren't many things that are made in Mexico, US or here in Canada. Even GPU designs. Back in the day, the 1990s ATI was a great alternative to Nvidia because their HQ was here in Ontatio and they did all their assembly here too. ATI was a wholly Canadian company....The cards were pretty good for the price point and performance to price ratio, considering it was all Canadian made in comparision to Nvidia...But their Drivers were shite. The Catalyst Control Centre was horrible. n any case, I imported my 1080 FTW2 from the US because when I bought it just a week before ANDROMEDA came out it wasn't avaialbe here in Canada and I didn't want to be stuck with out a video card (I'd sold 2 980 FTWs to pay for my 1080). The only place the 1080 FTW2 was even remotely available was online directly from EVGA....The US price was quite reasonable, I think it was something like 875 US or 799 something like that. But I paid about 1200 CAD when all was said and done only to find it in-store at Canada Computers for 1000, just three weeks later. My point though is this: 1) I will never import anything PC related ever again. 2) What may be a reasonable price point in the US or even in Europe/UK with the Euro......sucks here in Canada. So....as much as I would like to have waited and be able to buy a 3080 series because the tech sounds amazing, it's not happening for at least 3 years until the price drops. But I am extremely happy with my new 2080 Super FTW3 Ultra so I will keep running this as long as I possibly can. Oh, and one more thing....sorry for rambling. But DLSS 2.0 is available via a patch from Nvidia as far as I know. I heard that online somewhere from an Nvidia rep, but I can't remember where. So I am going to see if can upgrade the DLSS to 2.0 if it isn't already. EDIT: I just checked the Nvidia website and all of their Super series lineup is native DLSS 2.0 www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/rtx-2080-super/

Usually something up to 30% or more than the US prices. And DLSS 2.0 is supported by the RTX GPUs, but it has to be included and implemented by the game in order to work (like the regular aliasing options). That's why I said I won't bother with 1.0 (it's trash), but 2.0 is great and probably will be widely supported in future games, same probably with 3.0 when it release.

Even when buying at a retailer its then comparable US retailer, but I learned that mistake the hard way as well many years ago. I also learned over the years bleeding edge technology just isn't worth the cost stay a step or so behind and you will save on the long run. I remember years ago my PC guy I would go to, he was originally from Ghana, West Africa- he was great. He always said "I don't care what time of the day or night it is-- if you have a problem with your PC, a virus or whatever....Gimme a call and I'll come over, even if it's 2 a.m....." He was really good to me for all the years I knew him, had licenses for a lot of programs (like AV programs, PhotoShop CS 6 and 3D STudio MaX) that he would give me for free. He even gave me the curriculum and study guide for the A+ and C++ exams (because at that time in my life I'd said I wanted to get into PC Building/Repairs as a job). I never did write the exams, but I still have the CDs. He always told me pretty much the same as what you have said about hardware and program tech, he said "it's always better to go with a generation or even two previous to what new and hot, not only for financial reasons, but technical ones as well. Because often with new CPUs they haven't really tested them in the real world enough to know if there aren't any bugs and it's always gonna be at least 8 months to a year before all the kinks are worked out. But if you go with 1 or 2 generations behind what is new and hot, you can be assured of solid performance and rock solid compatibility....Plus the added benefit of still being current enough to play all the latest games at decent resolutions. Another comment he made was in context to the release of Windows 7, in the time between XP and the release of Win 7, I was talking to him about wanting to get into knowing all kinds of Operating Systems and which wold work best. He said "programs like Operating Systems are changing and advancing so fast, you'll never truly know all OSes inside-out 100%. Plus with Windows 7 releasing soon you'll want to try that out, and they will be stopping support of XP not long after...so just wait for Windows 7. IT's best to learn one OS or one type of any program (PhotoShop, Lightroom, Maya, 3DS...whatever it is). There are so many programs that basically do the same thing, you can't possibly learn them all. It's best to pick one program or one OS, learn it well and stick with it. Don't get bogged down by trying to learn every program of a given type just because it's new and hot on the market." So I learned Windows XP inside-out, top to bottom and learned it well. Then when Windows 7 came out I did the same. But I still remember XP even for all the bugs and issues it had well into SP2. I have not learned Windows 10 to that level though.

I think it kind of affects all gqames t oa point but as to how muc hI think depensd on the game. I can' tcomment on JFO as I'm yet to play it on my new system. But I have seen in a lot of m ygameswat least some subtle changes even if the yhaven't been major ones. Even in games like Fifa and my F1 games I've seen it. I think even DAO which I'm playing now for the first time on my nwe machine I've noticed one or 2 subtle changes.

Appeared in my Youtube rec list... Anyone tried it? No but I might be tempted to as it might be a better way of dealing with the more awkward wall running puzzles. Assuming that bug kind of stays in the game that is.

I like the fighting and general gameplay. Major problem is that there's no sound. I had some for like 30 seconds at one point but that was it. Nothing I looked at online was of any help. EA is useless, as we know, because they depend on other players to resolve things. It's not a unique problem but I haven't found a fix for it. Anyone else have this problem and resolved it?
EDIT: Kind of sorted it out. Seems to be related to using an Xbox 360 controller with my PC. For whatever reason, it cuts the sound. I found an emulator that for whatever reason ignores the USB port but still allows me to use the controller. Or something like that. The sound will still cut occasionally, just for a short time, but I get most of it. Don't reinstall since that seems to be useless, at least based on the responses of others on the EA forum. Here's where I found my solution:

So I've been replaying Fallen Order the past few days...and one thing that struck me is, when Cal meditates within those meditation circles and you choose the Skill Tree....the background beyond the tree is what looks to be crumbling planets. It reminds me of that episode of CLONE WARS where Ezra enters The World Between Worlds. Is that what it is supposed to be? Or, is it merely supposed to be a place that represents the brokenness of Cal's connection to the FOrce?
I was hoping the game would explore that, and I am disappointed that it doesn't and doesn't provide any answers. But perhaps I will find what I am looking for in the ART of Jedi Fallen Order.....
Does anyone else have any thoughts on this? If so, please respond. It's a subject I've had questions about for months.

Fallen Order now has achievements on Steam. Guess that gives me one more excuse to play it again later.

So, I guess Shinobi deleted the tweet. It said that he would "come back" to Fallen Order once dlc drops. He said it rather casually like it was common knowledge. Only one problem: there are no plans for story dlc or at the very least where no plans.
