I played a few matches with Spel_Danne the other night. Quite adequate as pugs go. Perhaps one of us should invite them here.

Jackpot!

Had just about every pug cliche you could think of in one game.

• over-the-shoulder flamer
• ignoring objectives
• ignoring downed teammates
• splash damage
• rotating parade of 4th players who couldn't stay up for 30 seconds
• 11th wave missile frenzy (no killstreaks)

Edit: a word, also forgot to mention • rubber band deaths

Bumped into a good teammate of mine, Lvca_gr. The team was great, no Reegars and shit, totally Plat worthy. A freakin' BF3 (Lvca), a Human Infiltrator (an old veteran) and a Human Engineer. Through teamwork, support and heavy Claymoar fire (there were 3 of them), we did quickly turn the Geth to scrap metal. LolPrimes. What a laugh.

Ironically, I did better with the GPR GE than the BF3 soldier (or so I felt). I keep trying to make the no fitness disruptor claymore work to my expectations and failing. Might have to accept it's better with something like the crusader . It was really fun though , a pity the fourth player didn't join the Claymore madness.

Landed in an SI's lobby. I had a premature knee-jerk reaction until I quickly realized:

• We were NOT preset to Hydra
• We were NOT preset to Geth
• SI was NOT using a Black Widow

Instead of a BW, the SI host was sporting one of these babies, with a scope, HB, & drill ammo:


Thank you PUG host SI. I'll gladly let you kill-steal from half the map away with that fine chap.

Showoffs

Velaut, myself, and unixhound all wound up in the same game. It's hard to describe the match exactly but just imagine the ME3MP equivalent of Hungry Hungry Hippos. There was a fourth player, but they got to basically stand around and watch us hog all the kills in a shameless race for points. I came in at a close second, but sadly didn't get a chance to pull out one of my better kits for a rematch, Velaut went splitski right afterwards.

Hungry Hungry Krogans?  We did have one, but he was the pug wandering around without anything to kill.  Hazard White/Cerberus/Gold, with a Justicar, a Talon Merc, and (I think?) a MQE, with the pug bringing a Krogan Sentinel.  I was about 14k from 1st, I blame bad spawns, half the time I just couldn't figure out where the enemies were.  Great game though, 10/10 would scorewhore again.

DC-ed?

Playing on the Eggsbox 3.60, I decide to go all cheesy, so I take my Flamer GT to a walk on the sunny Surkesh, to kill me some golden rippaz... Going public, nobody came in 5 min...  So I start and wait to see what happens.
I solo w1 without any problems and on w2 I get two EDIs . It went as well as expected, w3 targets I kill the first banshee without missiles and they missile anything that moves. Unfortunately I don't have a mic on this console so I can't tell them to save their missiles for later waves.

I get the first killstreak at the end of w5, w6 hack again they missile, comes w8 I get the second killstreak and they finally get the third. Somehow after they both manage to get grabbed and it's up to yours truly to finish more than half of the wave alone. I use another two bombs and another in w9 to save one of them. Down to 1 missile, it's wave 10 and it's time for pizza...

They manage to do the first but one of them gets grabbed in the process... I manage to deliver the second pizza, but in the meantime the second pug gets Bansheed, so again I solo . I've no missiles left so it takes a little longer, but one of them leaves the mission ( ?) when I was only left with the two Banshees, one of them hanging by a thread. I finish the wave, on extraction I can't save the last pug who gets grabbed right in front of me but somehow I manage a Lone Survival...

I have to admit it's a new one for me: to see someone leave the mission on w10, almost at the end, giving up all the credits you've worked so hard to get.

DC-ed?  

Unkrogan.

I pugged two matches with the same host and one other random, and a 4th that varied. Host was krogan vanguard and preset to glacier geth gold.
My FQE + valiant did ok even though the talon merc on the team kept dying. We had a revivathon that meant as the clock counted down to zero we were all out of gels mashing furiously. But it was funny so i didn't care.

Second match i switch to krogan soldier for some in between wave headbutting. But kroguard doesn't play. I was a sad krogan

I left afterwards, my daily dose of two matches, complete, even if unfulfilling.
