Dickbag Convention.

A while ago but still irking me, so rant mode.

Slightly more annoyed because the guy's actually good, but I haven't met anyone in 2k hours on either of my accounts that's been more aggro
about scorewhoring than Atreidesjet.

It came out of the blue too. We had a set of games with two other pugs that were really smooth because he and I were going ham. We were cooperating, doing objectives, picking each other up.

Then, I guess my picking Claymore Hsol when he picked Claymore QME was like, a challenge to him? Maybe it insulted him? No mic no chat so who knows. All I know is in third game he Ar Comp. and starts actually trying to deny me kills- like kill streaking things I'm attacking for no other reason. Then in the end, after his spawn nuking in wave 11 I ended up fucked between dragoon/phantom spawns, and he walks up to be in my camera while I'm getting gangbanged, and shoots his rockets into the air. Of course I get synced... And he beats me by a whopping 10k when I haven't shot any missiles at all.

I proceeded to bump into him during the week and it just got worse and worse- he'd either follow me with AC V and waste missiles when I'd be working on bosses, or just follow me in general with either a faster ttk weapon than me, grenades, or a Venom to to focus on denying me score rather than actually trying to 'race me'. This is pretty baffling, because when we were playing normallyhe was already slightly better than me in most of those games.

Anyhow, finally wrecked him, when his scorewhore strat (literally) blew up in his face. I was rando pugging and not really paying attention, I landed in a lobby with him. In a rare case, at least recently, I was running an obnoxious Tsol Hurricane ammo/ammo (forgive me ObsidianGriffon, lol) and he tried to counter pick that with a Talon Merc.

Now, this was a dickbag convention because FlowerSandy showed up as well. Atreidesjet goes nuts and follows me around trying to literally cain mine every single thing I'm shooting at- but then realizes Cain Mines are buggy af and he can't get them to go off half the time. He switches to rockets until he runs out early, then ofc I score double him because he hamstrung himself against my shameless op cheese. FlowerSandy ragequits midway because he can't keep up with our dick measuring contest at all. At the end atreidesjet closes the lobby before the score screen can display.

Bonus:

Pug into random Glacier Hazard on Wave 8, do okay, don't die, but like, I came in at Wave 8. Bowel_Koala mics up to shit on me and tell me "you're welcome, get good".

At the end of the day, yeah, 3 people out of like 100s of pugs are dipshits? But man are they dipshitssss

hm.. here i was under the impression that on consoles one can block all interactions including joining games, something us cursed with Origin can only dream of?

As I recall, Xbox Live was the only platform that could block/mute people specifically. I'm not sure how/if it works with the XBoxOne backwards compatibility, since I've never used it myself yet.

I remember having to do it a bunch via the home button I think... Mostly to mute people who had their Kinect mics always on, lol.

I just wanted to post this, also wanted to post some cat puns. Stay paw-sitive friend.

I ain't sure either. In-game menus and cross-platform connectivity is functional but flawed and buggy.

I did some games earlier today (or rather yesterday cuz it's 3 am now and I'm drunk cuz it's my birfday) and I pugged my way into a gold game. I was taking my justicar because she rules and is the best but the host was taking a AIU with a low level black widow and no equipment whatsoever. Couple other players (who were also low level) joined in shortly but we readied and landed on firebase hydra against reapers. The other players did fairly well but there were a few moments when they got overwhelmed and I would run to their rescue when I could. I managed to save a couple players from being sync-killed from banshees but I couldn't be around them at all times and some got taken out. Extraction wave starts and of course everyone runs to the LZ. I stay away on the opposite side of the map and notice the other pugs start firing missiles at the LZ to desperatly stay alive. I knew they wouldn't last long so when the pugs nuked the enemies, I managed to catch the respawn. I distracted them to take the heat off the teammates. A couple banshees and a couple brutes started focusing their attention on me and I led them away from the LZ. After biotic booming their butts, I managed to escape from them and headed towards the LZ and the pugs were still alive! We got full extraction and my score was just less than 200k. Second place was around 98k or something but the game was fun. Ended up leaving and then went to the liquor store to buy some beer and celebrate a victory against the reapers!!

Yeah, happy birfday PAT. GRAAAAAAGHH! Good thing you're a Vorcha, so you'll regenerate from your Ryncol hangover easily. GRAAAAAGH! DRINK STRONK! VORCHA FEEL GOOD!
