ReallyRNG?!? I've been playing a couple of games each evening for the past three days and deciding to forego my usual practice of preseting faction and/or map, despite games being public. And the game has became much more fun because of it, even if much more challenging. But one combo has popped up every night so far, without fail. Wanna guess which one? Collecturds/Glacier Hazard I guess this is a karmic debt I owe, but damn... seems like I owe a lot of karma Luckily, my last game against them was with my lolcoyte Justicar(big shoutout to GruntKitterhand , for introducing me to this combo, the old gal has finally became fun for me), so we ate cheating bugs easily, but yeah, looks like I'll need to pull my shit together. Yep - there are lots of lols to be had with that setup: an Acolyle shot (preferably with Incendiary ammo) followed by Pull will send any mook (or occasionally two mooks if you take Radius in Pull) floating and burning into oblivion. I, by the by, learnt that from a YouTube vid by Bwnci. I like to carry a secondary weapon specifically for dealing with big armour.

I, by the by, learnt that from a YouTube vid by Bwnci. I like to carry a secondary weapon specifically for dealing with big armour. I saw one of his videos... on Valkyrie. It was enough for me. While I'll give the guy props for using Raider, he will forever remain in my memory as that one guy who skipped Warp. On Valkyrie. Really? So yeah, long story short, I may be an elitist, but you just don't do that! As for armor, I never found it problematic with Justicar. Between Reave, armor weakening properties of bubble and 6+6 BEs, it just... melts. Sure, some dancing around the enemies is required and it can quickly lead to you getting synced, but that's part of the fun for me

Better late than never my friend! I daresay it would amuse you to know that I absolutely suck with her on XB1, relatively speaking compared to PS3 anyway. I can't manage to time things as smoothly because the buttons for Pull and the Acolyte are reversed, and although I know I can flip them in the settings I don't because I prefer them that way when I'm not using charged weapons, so I just try to persevere and make the best of it. On PS3 I remember getting a rhythm going with her which involves dodging 2 or 3 times amid the Acolyte/Pull/Reave/Acolyte/Bubble/Acolyte/Reave sequences that resulted in a seriously impressive DPS cycle, while being simultaneously almost invincible. Now I'm playing her in a slightly more genteel Matriarch style, but still definitely preferring Cryo ammo for the never-ending lols. Edit: following on from the Bwnci discussion, I find his videos entertaining and he seemed like a top guy when interacting on the old BSN, but some of his build choices were heretical.

I was trying to play Argus Fat Turian Soldier and it was going pretty well, 20 headshots by wave 3. But since I was sporting the Argus, that means I coudn't pick up Adrenaline mod, cos I need the Stability consumable for the thing to be on point. That cost me later on wave 8 when 3 Fantums rushed me. I took 2 of them out, but the third one slashed me, tried to Oops pack cheat death, but it didn't go off and I got shishkebabed. Spectating 3 PUGS, who apparently all trained at Stormtrooper academy. Couldn't hit a broadside of a Fatlas, let alone a Fantum. Revive chains ensued as soon as I bit the dust Well, they all wiped.

Ragequit. * Regarding Justicar, I never liked the Acolyte. Phasic Falcon. Double Pull, Radius Weakness Warp Bubble, and Reave, 66644, bring the Hurricane for armor. Destroying Marauders and Geth Hunters with Pull/Reave or Pull/Bubble especially, is very satisfying. Extraspecially when it's a two-for-one

Destroying Marauders and Geth Hunters with Pull/Reave or Pull/Bubble especially, is very satisfying. Extraspecially when it's a two-for-one She's appeals to me as an older gentleman as she's a more mature girl who I've taken years getting to know well. (Think Zaeed meets Samara and he just won't take no for an answer. At this stage I've honestly had her every which way, multiple times over.) If you want damage Venom trumps all, Lancer has more style, Falcon is indeed lethal, but the Acolyte Justicar is one of my true loves in the game. She's honestly the only character I will use the Acolyte on as it's not a gun I like at all, but with her it forms part of her beautiful ballet dance of destruction. I think I remember TTT acknowledging that the Acolyte could keep up with the Lancer in solo speed terms. Overall I also get moar power damage with the Acolyte and always go for the literal maximum build with all the available power boosters - 66454, with Armour and Barrier damage on Reave. Yes I went there. She's not a Drell. Take a Locust for Guardians and it's a perfect UUG build, and totally Plat viable, although in my scrubby case I usually (probably stupidly) swap the Power Amp for a Cyclonic in that case, as well as swapping the fun Cryo ammo for Warp. One of the many reasons I find Plat less enjoyable to play tbh, as I can't laugh at frozen Marauders spinning through the air before I blow them up. How long since we had a Justicar build discussion?!? - Generous I've already forgotten the game but I got Typhoon and Particle Rifle upgrades in a single Arsenal Pack.

I can honestly say I've never tried that, and although I'd like to and might indeed give it a lash, I fear that in my case gitting gud is probably unlikely at this stage. And MPApr2012, the thing about the Talon is that it's quite a lot better when fired from cover, which goes against my whole ballet dancing analogy in spirit. But yeah, Talon is still pretty epic on her.

Talon's gets better fired from cover now?? i knew of the anti-shield bonuses hence being the weapon of choice for Justicar with her biotic profile and all. anyways without further derailing the thread, should we bring this thread back to the front page or would you do the honours of starting a dedicated one? EDIT: Ahem... Right, back on to the rails then Can'tComplainHadFun There was No Reetards, no Juggs, and no AIUs. Instead, in attendance were a couple of Blueberries (mine and triggerlips ), one suicidal Slayer (our host), and a late joiner Piranha GI against a bunch of reapers on Goddess. We had that GI to thanks for clutching wave 9 for us yet nothing we've done could help us get that Slayer back to the shuttle with the rest of us. Partial extraction, yet a good game nevertheless.

How long since we had a Justicar build discussion?!? - Generous I've already forgotten the game but I got Typhoon and Particle Rifle upgrades in a single Arsenal Pack. I'm a simple man and I love shotguns so naturally I run a no-Pull Justicar with a Raider. High health and barriers means I can run a Power Amp and spam Reave and put Bubble in a chokepoint and go to town with Warp ammo. I've also tried the PPR on her and it's, well, different. You can do a massive amount of damage with Warp IV (especially vs Trolls) and Reave/Bubble, I think DC would be a better fit for the PPR, but it doesn't have the flow the Raider or Carrier does. 66644 Acolyte is a great kit though.

I like that something's either going boom, or getting a huge damage bonus for my Collecter SMG. Yeah, that's right, I don't just use Acolyte, because I like to pair my Cheeze with MORE CHEEZE. >8)

BioStreak!™ (Pending patent)Yeah just made the word up but I think it was in order. Nukes/'nades aside I'd never seen a complete spawn become one with the dust so fast. Ran into a ludicrously good bunch for my last games of the night and UUG gave us Rippas. We all but one were doing biotic kits so good booms were had. Recorded history doesn't hold a smoothest, quickest gold game to have ever been rocked on a console. Well it probably does but it was the fastest and easiest I've memory of. I was doing the hosting, so Valkyrie's AF was at its best... and she... well, she just loves Reapers for brunch. Sorry for turning this otherwise nice read into yet another obnoxious e-peen kind of post but a screenshot is required to get the point across Please do note 3 out of 4 players getting the 75 kill medal, the absence of revival medals and the presence of the 1 BIOSTREAK!™ medal. What made this one PUG match stand out from others was not only the duration (is there some thread for sub-20 games on consoles?) but the fact that no nukes were used throughout it. Not even on targets! And neither to scorewhoar extraction wave. At least I don't think I heard a single rocket going off and no spawns were nuked. Sheer PUG nonsense. Also I don't think anybody got killed more than once or twice (me being the one who went down a couple of times cuz I'm reckless like that) and the one and only missile used was also mine, but shot directly at a banshee who had just lifted the Justicar on the team. (Ass: SAVED. Pun: intended!) I really had to pull my best moves to keep up with the insanely fast killing going on all over Giant FB and when we got to wave 10 I was topping the board by a frog's hair, but couldn't help it capping most of the (or all, can't remember) 4 devices, so when EW began was now outscored by almost 10k. Maybe I was a little of a douche but I really didn't like the idea of coming out the 2nd... but also knew how much douchier it would be to go nuclear on wave 11. So I rushed down the large ramp towards the enemy spawning spot near the ammo box and sure enough, the whole herd was there. Remained on the lowest part of the ramp to avoid banshee love and took on all of them at once as only my dodgy Valkyrie can. Luckily enough the game kept spawning more and more brutes, ravagers and banshees on that same spot as I would chew them up. Can't tell if the others were helping from a safer spot because I was in a crazy frenzy for a whole 90 seconds during which I danced with brutes, while dodging ravager shots and banshee warps in a desperate attempt to boost my final score back to the top of the board without looking like a total Ass (see what I did there?). Last-second, perfectly-timed oops packs kept me on my feet (burned like 3 of 'em) until the time came to go catch the shuttle. After that we got Condor/Trollectors and the game tried to mercifully spare me the pain by disconnecting me on wave 1. However, stubborn me searched up the specific settings and the team was still there, though everything was buggy and lag messed up with my AF. We still extracted in 23 minutes and I got a 'thank you for the games' from one guy and a friend request from another. It was a good night

Dakka/Trollectors/Doldo
Playing my trusted PPR juggy ( only lvl 2 inc and ar amp, should have gone with lvl1s though, still too much cheese ) the game was a breeze. Also nice to see some unusual builds for the GE and AIU.

Not even Clay Davis kinda sheeeeeeit. Just shit. That game was an insult to my intelligence (SP) and a greater test of my patience than I would ever have feared possible (MP). Worse than the Genophage - have you heard the Krogan Engineer? "You had ma baaack!!!" Jesus. The day I deleted it from my console was a good day. Claymore versus Jetpacks? Mrahahahaaaa....

dickbag addendum I guess igorf33's connection is awfully good when he's on a BW Infiltrator against my Juggernaut. 6 missiles to outscore me by 20k and I guess his score powers his mic because he was shittalking me for 10 waves. He almost always disconnects when I play with him. Dunno why. This is literally the first time he's outscored me, and the first time I've seen him reach end of match in the same lobby as me, and the first time I've heard him speak- I think those things are connected.

I think he aways plays some kind of Salarian. And I though he was a Russian, he never spoke to me though.

In theory there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice there is.

GruntKitterhand , I tip my cap to you sir. If you want style points, go AR weight reduction 66660 Sabre and aim for the head. It is how I got gud, because it was my only ultra-rare at a decent level for a loooong time. To be fair, I used Stronghold Package V, Cyclonic IV, and still died a lot. I remember the first time I actually got 20 Headshots medal in a game, and didn't feel like I was so terrible anymore. I'm no Jay Hacksaton.
