Bad analogy, as the implication is nonfunctionality until everything is completely fixed.

It's more like buying a car that you presumably really like but is still missing some features, is not as fuel efficient as you thought, and that has some weird dashboard design. Company has already provided some of those features, upgraded the dashboard a bit, upgraded the fuel system, promised to continue upgrading and fixing but you say all those upgrades are trash because they havent fixed something yet even though they said it'll take some time to import from Japan.

We appreciate all the feedback from the community on the game. We love the passion and share it. We’re not yet fully happy with the game’s loot behavior either.

One of the downsides of moving so fast to improve is that we’re making changes to complex loot systems in several areas and it’s then harder to know how it’s performing.

In the next few months, we’re expecting to make significant changes, but we’re starting with some incremental ones so we can better navigate that evolution. Our goal is to ensure the best possible player experience.

With my luck being what it is and at the rate I play at I won't have finished the main story arc by the time that events hits.

I just checked it. Yeah cataclysm is in may but there is still two unnamed freeplay events happening this month.
