Just as a heads up for anyone who has already played a druid or watched druid PT's on YT (Regarding "Faithwarden"): Paleoak Staff can come from either Kahga or Rath. In other words, if you ended up killing Kagha after the Shadow Druid reveal, Rath will still reward you with the Paleoak Staff (assuming the note from the swamps is required). The only thing I am curious about - that I couldn't find via a google search - was whether the Staff had a different bonus effect based on who gave it to you. I got it from Rath and it has a Druid Snare effect that your character is immune to. Can't remember if you get the staff through Kahga if it is the same effect or not.[/spoilerf] Thought it might be interesting info for anyone who only knew about one version of this.  |

The haven't implemented all races and classes yet, but there is already a big selection to choose from. Of course, there are bugs, since it is EA and the game is still in development. I'd say, it is a mixture of the old games and the Dragon Age games. It has turned based combat though, that is something, I had to get used too. The story so far is really good. |

All of fylimar 's player character screenshots have made me want to pick up this game, though I'll probably wait until I finish my Assassin's Creed backlog. I've never played a BG game, although I loved Neverwinter Nights back in the day. Does this have a similar vibe? Just how "early access" is this game? I'm guessing it's pretty playable otherwise you wouldn't have 56 pages of discussion, but are they still working on main story missions? It's in the same setting as Neverwinter Nights, just a few hundred years later and way south of Neverwinter. Also, turn-based instead of RTwP and multiplayer capable. It is still D&D, but 5e instead of NWN 3.5e. It's both very and not early access. Very has in only the 1st act is available (and not even all of it actually), not all the classes/companions are in it and level is capped at 4. Major patches can change lots of things and break others. Not very has in I've seen released games with more issues/bugs and less features that are way shorter. There is about 40ish hours of content available already and lots of classes to play with. Also, lots of branching and various quest resolutions to try.

Explain? The DC (target) shows the lowered value with all the buff applied (guidance, attributes, etc) on the UI, but sometimes it take the validation takes the original value in the background instead of that lowered value. You mouseover the target to see its original value.

The only thing I would add to what's already been said is that if it's been a while since you've played a D&D game, you'll probably want to watch some tutorials. While it's based on 5e, Larian has also made its own changes to the rules. And it is a tactical turn-based RPG. Kicking down the doors and Yolo-ing it will only get you so far. Major encounters you'll want to approach with some sort of plan. So you'll want to familiarize yourself with its systems and at least some basic strategies.

I love this armor. For the characters, that only can wear light armor (like Lyra here, who is a rogue), it's just the most beautiful armor, you can get. It's a drow armor, which can be found in the Underdark. I jumped down there with feather fall from the Whispering Depths to get this armor.

Did they removed the "sunburned" looted one at Waukeen's Rest? No, that is still in. I normally give that one to Astarion, since it fits the rest of his colourless look. And my girl wants the stealth bonus.

I absolutely suck in character creators. In all my years trying I have just one attempt I am proud of and it was in Mass Effect. Is it expected for BG3 to have characters, created by the community, that you can download? Or at least easy to use sliders/codes that can be recreated by following instructions? The game uses premade faces, as in you can't sculpt them. It's around 4-5 faces a race, 25-30 hair styles to pick from and around 10-12 beards. Then there is a massive amount of colors to pick from for the eyes, hair and skin. There is also some make up options and couple of face tattoos. Most of the faces are pretty good looking in their own unique way. Don't think there will be a face downloader like in Andromeda, but it should be little problem to provide you with the parts number for a face. So I don't think you'd have problems with creating a stunner

They really did a great job with the character designs especially the monsters. Normally goblins, gnolls, hobgoblins are just there to run over as you level. Now they're fully fleshed out with personalities.  look at the proud mom  I can't wait to see what they do with Dragons. I'll most likely have to wait till at least BG 4 |

I tried out the bard mod on Nexus and really like it so far. I wanted to recreate my pen & paper character, who is a bard/warlock.
And the modder even made a nice starting armor for the bard, which totally fits with the lore of the game (I'v e put the picture in spoilertags). Hopefully, I finish teh playthrough before the next big patch, when I have to deinstall mods again.
