I'm really looking forward to it, but I'm not sure whether I'm going to try early access yet or not, as I've never done early access for a game before. Experience with previous early access isn't required. Just keep in mind that the game isn't finished, there will be bugs, you won't have access to all the content that will be in the final game and that certain things can change during the early access. Saying that, the Divinity Original Sin early access were quite stable and playable and it can be quite fun to just play around with builds in early access.

Is it normal that I'm totally obsessed by the hairstyles options? Some of them are so extravagant...or I'm just too used to video games going for 50 shade of bald/cropped. I think it's pretty normal, I'm always excited seeing various and well designed hair options in a CC and not enough good hair options has always been one of my complaints with Bioware. Often just a hairstyle can change a character's entire vibe.

I get the impression this sort of thing isn't popular, but in D:OS2 when I realized I wouldn't have to feel obligated to regularly switch away from my preferred setup to experience everyone's storyline I felt immense relief. Curiously, I get the impression there'll be more companions in BG3 than in D:OS2, but four is still the maximum. This could amount to more replayability. EDIT: Had the chance to watch the video, and only now I've cleared my misconception that the Wealth of Nations guy was the lead writer. I think Sarah Baylus actually wrote my favorite bits of D:OS2's story.

I know one influencer who stopped playing D:OS2 right after that, pissed off over it. The BG3 reddit has people complaining already too. I personally didn't care once it happened. I had a set party by that time. When it comes to the personal's storylines, I realized by the second map that all you are really missing are specific interactions, not content per see. Interactions you wouldn't see if you didn't have X in the party if you were allowed to keep all of them and you aren't necessarily warned about them in advance to switch around. In BG3, it's either happening because you "can't save everyone from their tadpoles" or "can't bring everyone to X so the others find their own ways". It's possible part of the party is pro-keep tadpoles and the other half isn't to, so you get a "foil" adventuring group. Who knows where they are going with it really. And yes, there will be more companions in BG3. I think they wanted to make one per class (so 12 of them, double DOS2), but that seems a lot to me.
