Yeah, a lot of people comment that the motorball fight drags the pace. I know I died a 3 or so times in that section, myself. Which was frustrating cus I one-shotted the other fights you mentioned, so it felt like hitting a wall to suddenly keep failing.
Good news? You can skip it entirely upon subsequent playthroughs. lol
And yes you are nearing the end.
Could you please tell me how to hit enemies at your right? I tried using the stick in all directions, but Cloud only attack left. You hit circle to attack right. Square only swings left. And, if I'm giving tips, here's one it took me the entire game to realize: Hold L1 and hit triangle and it will send out a ranged energy blade attack (instead of just hitting triangle which just does the spinny slash).

Being too occupied fighting (and avoiding running in to walls) was why I didn't figure out the ranged thing till near the end. lol Also the key is a bit confusing on that front, cus every other button prompt up there is a single press, but I found pressing L1 did nothing on its own and I couldn't bother trying to figure it out while being shot, so I ignored it for a long while. lol

Never played the original. For that matter, only played FF XV from this series (and was ambivalent about that). But the reviews and reputation are good, so I'm in. But I literally know nothing. Yea hI never played the originalbut I had heard of FF7 being on eof th eclassic ones. Only one I've played is FF13 th eone wit hLightning but I do enjoy it.But I do hope this remak edoes make it's wa yto PC as I'm definitely intersted.

(This thread was created in the wrong sub forum, so I recreated it here) I'm personally excited for the Remake of the original Final Fantasy VII, but not in the same way as the millions of fans. I am a fan of the "World" of Final Fantasy VII. I say this because I became a fan not from the original game, but from the sequel movie "Advent Children," and the games "Dirge Of Cerberus" & especially "Crisis Core." The original story was always the missing piece. I didn't play Final Fantasy VII back in 1997. I didn't even know about the series in general back then. I would say that the Remake would be the best possible time to experience the original story, and then some (they're adding more to it). Unfortunately, there is a bit of an identity crisis here. If I play the remake, and enjoy the hell out of it, when does the term "fan" become irrelevant, and when does "real fan" come into question? I worry of people accusing me of not being a "real" fan because I never played the original game. What would the reactions be if I considered the remake my favorite (even though I've played only a few Final Fantasy games in my life). I watched the recent E3 footage. The fans cheered during the gameplay trailer. Half of me is excited to play the game (because of how much I enjoy the world of FF7 so far), but the other half is sad because I can never share their enthusiasm completely (because they are more "long-term" fans). What do you think about this? Who cares what people think. Are they paying your bills? Buying you food? Paying your rent? No? Then f*ck them. As for the remake I have not been up to date with the news. But I did play the original when it was first released back in '97, and I am looking forward to the remake. Though I am not a graphics whore, the original has aged badly as have all PSX games. I do hope the remake gets released on PC since that's my gaming system of choice. Ding ding coming t othe Epic Store next week if yo uhave an account on that platform. I set one up when Detroit Become Human cam eto PC there so I'm fine there

As for games that I bought lately, I bought the Witcher 3 Game of the Year Edition, never played any of the games, but I got the first two for free at GoG.com years ago during a giveaway and never played them. So I might give them a shot after I complete Andromeda. But the Final Fantasy VII Remake is tempting me. I am not completely broke and I am not gonna go hungry. I'll just see after Andromeda which I only have 2 side quests and the main quest left to do.

Probabl ywill after Christmas though my plan atm is finish ME3 and my current DAI playthrough's and go through the Halo MCC again. I have almost finished ME3 though as I'm on the final lap now given my next stop in the main story is Thessia. Once you hit Thessia you knowyou're moving towards the end game. After I'm done with Halo my plan is to do another HZD run. I may get on and play the FF13 games and try the FF7 remake and have a mini Final Fantasy marathon. I may do the Witcher games afte rthat provided I'm not feeling an itch to do another ME or DA run by then. At least that's my plan atm but I quite often end up changing my plans.

I never played any of the Halo games, I'm not really any good at shooters. In the Mass Effect games I keep the difficulty at Normal I never go above that. The Witcher games I always heard good things about like with the Mass Effect games, and I do like the Netflix series based on the Witcher books. I lucked out back when GoG.com used to have free giveaways I got the first two games for free, so I only payed for the third one. Since I stuck with Andromeda I've been thinking about retrying DAI at some point. I was gonna replay ME2 and ME3, but I've been watching a Let's Play on youtube and the youtuber is really good. She is a lot better at the game than I am, and she has made decisions I never made, like giving the Collector's Base to the Illusive Man. So that has been keeping me calm. I did download some mods for ME2 and ME3 like Conrad Remembers for ME2, it fixes the bug where Conrad says Shepard pulled out a gun on him even if you chose the Paragon option in ME1. The last Final Fantasy game I bought was FFXV Windows Edition, and never completed it, and before that it was Final Fantasy X on PS2 and then years later on PC. OH! I did buy FF Dissidia for the PSP long time ago.

For me the most annoying par tis probably the vehicles as whils tthe game is fun as a shooter the Warthog for example can mak eeven the Mako seem easy t odrive by comparison and that's enough of a pain. The flyin gvehicles like the Banshee's aren't to bad it's moer the land vehicles like the warthogs tha taer though I do love the Scorpion tank that's abou tthe onl yground vehicle that doesn't suck. I don't really own many Final Fantas ygames really. In fact I onl ybought the FF1 3trilog yas I wa sintrigued by it's story as it sounded like it hadsome interesting characters in it. I had heard about Final Fantasy 7 and how popular it was back in the day in it's original form but back then as a gamer I wasn' t really into RPG's as I've only kinda got into playing them in moer recen tyears after giving Mass Effect and Dragon Age a go and falling in love with those worlds and characters. I'm interested in trying the FF7 remake though as it looks a decent fun game. It's just when wil l I get a chanc et oget round t oplaying it. But the answe r to tha tis a tleas tno tunti lafter I've finished playing the Halo MCC and likely Infinite as well. But I have played a lo tof FPS type games ove rth eyears as I've played the original Doom and all that way back when. I'v eals oplayed a lo tof the COD and Battlefield campaigns too. I don' t tend t oby uthem nw ethough I tend t owait until they're like £10 or something asI only play for the campaign not the muiltiplayer which means I likel ywon' tbe touching the new Battlefield given it doesn't hav eone though Vanguard's sounds quite an interesting story so I could see myself grabbing that once it goes down in price. It likely won' t yet but down the line it eventually will.

I generally play on th eeasiest difficulty on most games because of my disability really . Halo does have it's tricky moments bu tit's not super difficult. Onl ylevel I've struggled wit hreall ybadly is the last level of Halo 1 wher you hav e a timer on you and you hav et oge tout th eship befoer the timer hits zero. Other tha ntha tIO've beaten pretty muc hevery level. It likely won' t yet but down the line it eventually will. I first played the Mass Effect games on casual, then I bumped it up to normal in my second playthrough and that's as high as I'll go lol. Enemies like the Husks, Scions, and Collectors gave me a lot of trouble in those games. The last first person shooter game I played was way back when the Medal of Honor games were popular. I was not a big rpg gamer back when FFVII was released, but I still played it because it was a hot game at the time. I became a hardcore rpg gamer when KOTOR and Morrowind were released, been a BioWare and Bethesda fan since. I also fell in love with the Mass Effect and Dragon Age universes. Also I too wait for games to go on sale before I buy them. Sometimes I'll wait up to two or more years like I did with Assassin Creed Origin and Odyssey and with Witcher 3.

Yeah hte Scions give me trouble to as d o the Brutes and Banshee's jus tbeen danccing around attempting t otake them down in the Armax arena as I was attempting to break the score board unfortunately I was abou t200 points off on tha tattempt as I go t9800 and something. I'l probabl ygive it one more try after I've completed Sanctuary as I often visit the Citdael one last time to do the part y and everything anyway before doing the final missions. Had I been a few seconds quicker I might hav egot those 200 points though given he clock said something like 5 minutes 20 and if you ge tunder 5minutes you d oget a 200 point bonus.

Yeah the Armax arena can be quiet good fun in the Citadel DLC it's kind of like doing a multiplaye rmatch but with your companoins rather than with people on the internet. You can use both your ME2 and ME3 companion sat least those that aren't dead anyway by the time you play it.

I'm gonna try it out next time I replay ME3. I usually complete the Suicide Mission with no casualties, so in ME3 the full ME2 cast is always present. So more options in the arena.

Well you won't have Thane or Mordin bu tyea hyou'll get everyon eelse as Thane will always die during the Cerberus attack in tha tbit on the Citadel and Mordin is either workin gon the devic e or cdied curin the genophage but you should have everybod yelse yes in that instance. It's only becaus ethe Citadel DLC doesn't unlock until after the coup so yeah.
