FF7 Remake on PC just looks like excuse for PC gamers to flex about what they can do to with it on PC. I'm not talking about every PC gamer. I'm referring to people within the subcategory who brag, like being able to play 4k 120fps or higher on Ultra Settings. The ones who love to "console shame" other gamers. Take the RTX 3090 GPU for example. Some people were lucky to get one before the pandemic made an impact on the production and sales of GPUs. Now it seems like only the "1%" (if you know who I mean) can afford a GPU like that.
He's the thing, people. Besides higher FPS, I'm not really impressed with the PC port. The settings are very lackluster, and it eats up VRAM, causing stutter. I'm good with my PlayStation copy. In fact, I'm kind of giving up on PC gaming in general. If I want to play a Microsoft game, I'll buy an Xbox.

I bought it today myself and I'm looking forward to playing once I get a chance. Besides I don' tp la yon PC t obrag about having high powered grasphics cards and all that even though I do have a decent one in my system. I mostly play on PC because with m ydisabilit yI find a mouse/keyboard interface the easiest for me to use in games especially when it comes to games tha thav ea lot of action in them.

I played the original FF7 on my PS 1, too many years ago now and I absolutely loved, and still love the game. So I just happy I can play the remake now, even if I now using PCs and do not have anymore a PS. I have the game whishlisted and plan to buy it in the coming couple of weeks. I will then judge the game once I will be able to play it, hoping it will give me the same emotions the original FF7 was capable to give me

Kinda lookin gforward to it tbh.

So I ended up to buy it about a week ago (there was a festive 10 Euro discount I took benefit of) and even started playing it, in rotation with some other ongoing games (my first PT at MELE, a new PT at Witcher trilogy -still at Witcher 1 for now, a slowly ongoing run at DAI, some session at my MMO of election these days, POTBS). I'm still going forward slowly, at Chapter 3 for now, but I have to say I'm enjoying it for the time being. I find the control system a bit unfamiliar (it has the usual WASD for moving of the keyboard+mouse controls, but map and menu navigation and few other controls feel strange to me), but I have to say I like the combat, even if I need to learn more about rotating characters, since I mostly remain stick with Cloud when in combat. But most of all I have to admit I'm really enjoying the story so far, I guess some nostalgy is helping here since I really realize how much I was missing Cloud and Tifa Fun Side Note 1: It took FF VII to get me spending some money on Epic Games Store ... all other games I have there are Giveaways Fun Side Note 2: FF VII gave me also the wish to try FF XIV, unfortunately Endwalker is being so successfull that SquareEnix is suspended new subscriptions, due to the login cues they are experiencing

Thankfully because they'er not really games that require fast reactions you can kinda get away with it. I haven' t played the remake yet but that's because I'm planning a kind of mini Final Fantasy marathon late rso was thinking o fplaying it then as I was going t ogo through the FF13 trilogy as well.

Well, this is really the first Final Fantasy port on PC I play, last FF I played was FF X-2 on PS, so the controla are a bit new for me, but I'm slowly getting used to them. Will be curious to hear your feedback once you will start playing it. As I said I realize my approach to the game is somehow biased by nostalgia

As I said I realize my approach to the game is somehow biased by nostalgia I never played the original FF 7but I did hear it was very good back in the day as for the controls I said tha tbecause they'er like that in the PC version of FF13 as well. I don't byu the FF games normally the FF13 trilogy and the FF7 remake are the only one's I've got. I mostly go tFF13 as it seemed like it had an intreesting story and I kind of liked Lightning as a character. I mostly picked FF 7 up because I had heard a lot abou tthe origina land the remake looked fun. So based on that I decided to give it a chance.

Yes, I played FF 7 on the PS at the time and I think it was/is really good, I personally liked it much more than FF 8 (which I did not finish by the way). I then jumped FF 9 and played instead FF 10 and FF 10-2 and I really liked both of them. After that I stopped, since I played all them on PS, but then I stopped using PS and started playing on PC, on which I did not play any of the FF releases. I just bought now FF 7 remake, in part for nostalgy and also since I read good things about it and I have to say I'm quite happy till now with what I get. Hope you will also enjoy it.

Well .... I just finished it today, it took me a while, but I only had few hours a week of spare time to play it. Well finished the main game, I still have Intermission to play . I have to say it has been an hell of a ride and I loved it sooo much, even if at times I continued to struggle with controls, but all the rest made it so worth it. Unfortunately now it's going to start the most hard part of all it ... to wait for the continue. I think the part they chose to stop this first installment it's ok and most probable is the more logical choice, but still I can't wait to see how the story will develop ...

I caved and bought the game around Christmas day, Epic had a 10$ off coupon so I bought the game for 60 US dollars. I have a mid-high end system and the game played fine on max settings, but then the stuttering got to be too much that I stopped playing. I am still hopeful that Square-Enix will release a patch.

Yeah I heard there was some stuttering and such in the game bu ttha tma ydepend on your settings as I heard having it set too high on some systems can cause that. I can' tspeak from personal experience as I've not played it yet but that's what I heard on various youtube vids about it.

I have to say I just kept the settings as I got them by default, but it was fine for me. Hope you will get to enjoy the game as much as I did .... and by the way I used the 10 Euro (I'm in Europe) coupon too.

The game would stutter heavily when turning the camera. but other than that it was pretty fun. I played the original back when it was released and have forgotten the story, so this is all new to me.

It was almost the same for me. I played the original on the PS1 and just reminded few bits of the story, so it has been practically a brand new game, but within a familiar and loved environment . A very good experience all in all. I just hope you will enjoy the game as much as I did, well I still have the intermission to play by the way

Thanks. I also am using the default setting which were set to max. I just hope you will enjoy the game as much as I did, well I still have the intermission to play by the way Thanks. I was enjoying the game up until all of the stuttering when I turn the camera. But I am currently redownloading it which takes some time. But I am eager to get back. I found some potential solutions for the stuttering. Solutions that seem safe.

I will have a busy week in front of me, but I hope will be able to start intermission next weekend. I will let you know
