When something gives you the Mass Effect vibe.

Hey guys,

I am sorry, this may be kinda off topic but I didn't know where else to put it, so I said f*ck it, let's just create a new thread.

This is about instances where something that really shouldn't be related to ME completely gave you the Mass Effect vibe.

Why would I make such a thread? Well, because obviously that happened to me yesterday.

I am currently watching Stargate Universe (First season was a weird mix of pretty cool and complete facepalm moments but the second season is actually really good I think, shame it got canceled when it was finally hitting its stride.)

Anyway, yesterday I just watched the episode "Blockade" of season 2 and I felt like the space battle could have been straight out of Mass Effect. I think it was mainly the music, which was very close to ME and a pretty strong deviation from the usual in the show so far. Needless to say I really liked it. Unfortunately they don't have an OST but someone uploaded a recording on yt, where they somehow mixed down the voices, so the main thing you hear is the music and SFX. Check it out (it's like ME right from the start but the coolest part IMO starts at around 0:28):

I may have already been primed for this though because in the episode before, they missed the perfect oportunity for Eli (the resident pop culture reference character) to make the ideal Mass Effect joke. Because there is a pretty funny scene where the team is rather annoyed at being stuck in an elevator with bad music (starts at 2:32):
