Thing is, while Krolord powered (B-Hammer, E-Hammer) attacks count for the melee medal they do NOT count for melee challenge points! The unpowered melee can still be huge, but it really sucks when I forget this and get bubkes in my combat mastery.

I don't play the krolord often, but I have several melee focused builds. And given the frequency at which I play melee and play cerBS, I can see it happening, if the servers stay alive.

These were all strictly heavy melee. Maybe it treats 3-swing LM into final E/B-Hammer backhand. But by then, you've already done a lot of normal melee damage.
[Talon Merc bow, regardless of powered or not, also doesn't give melee pts, nor does the "return" part of Blade Armor]

I think I was stable right under 200th for the longest time, until I had half a year off and then have only been playing maybe 2 matches a week.
Highest was something like 51st, which was just because I did Solo Mastery first thing when the challenge points came out and I got a lump of points.

I had some old friends log in on Origin - so I got in a really solid weekend of gameplay. Many headbutts were exchanged, and many enemies vanquished/ Mostly I was on my Krogan Sentinal handing out that heavy melee. I also made it a point to headbutt most Atlas and Primes, along with a few Banshee for good measure when they were low on health. For Tuchankaa!

Nice I did few melee runs on gold lately and scored 50k melee or close each time. Two with the krolord, one with the krosent, one with the paladin. I got disconnected in one and soloed 6 waves of the later, so, pretty unconclusive test. Still i think it s becasue krolord is THE viable plat melee option, and where i got those 80 90k melee points games. And with the normal melee, not the enchanted part as i thought

U guys kinda disagree , but marginally, except if hammer smash doesnt do any melee damage, only enchanted ones I'm okay if we agree to disagree ... as long as we acknowledge I'm correct 
Actually, not sure we're inconsistent, just incomplete.
BH and EH definitely do NOT give melee pts towards Combat Mastery. They DO count towards melee kills medal. It's just one of those ME3 quirks.
BH/EH swings not only do power damage, they also do the melee dmg (first?). BUT again, that melee damage isn't credited to Combat Mastery. It should, but it doesn't.
The base melee dmg part benefits form the usual melee bonuses (Rage, Strength Enhancer, Hydraulic Joints, melee weapon mods) The BH/EH power dmg part does NOT benefit from the above bonuses, EXCEPT melee weapon mods (see ME3 quirks). Like with Shadow Strike. And like SS, this part also benefits from power bonuses.
My assumption is that a 3-swing into BH/EH combo gives the melee pts for the full 3 swings. Then adds the BH/EH on top of that (which may or may not be treated differently for Combat Mastery points than a normal BH/EH, but I don't know how to test).

there was some small moves ! capn233 did jump larsdt again, and Tonymac took a nice step ahead. Archon-shep is playing andromeda atm and i havent seen @xelanderlately  I'm not really a great player, just a consistent one. I still love this game and play it almost daily, which is how I quietly ninja my way up the CPs and N7s. ME3MP is that itch that I have to scratch. I get out there in pugland and hand out the business. There was a time when Mass Effect was all I played. I guess that it is time to get another Mass Effect One play through started. There is a magic in the first two games that just captures my imagination. I like to mix it in with the fast and dynamic ME3MP. To be honest, there are even days when I find myself listening to Gaming Ambience Mass 1 and 2 cuts - things like The Galaxy Map, Citadel: Upper Wards, CSEC:Atrium etc.

For some reason I try to keep grinding weapon on character stuff for points. Mostly do it just to keep up some variety, otherwise I might just be playing something like Turian Sentinel with Claymore until I ran out of shotgun amps.

weird bug to close my map mastery this morning, for some reason i had to close the 14 maps on gold + one plat to get 40 silver challenges done. Should have needed 13 + one plat. Anyway it s done, and i m on Tonymac toes Lately I've been tearing it up in WoW Classic Season 1. I just hit level 50, and am in the home stretch to lvl 60. I'm down to about 1 or 2 games per day now, and I've just started a new Engineer in Mass Effect One. I need more hours in the day!

Link sighting lmao.   I needed more of these women in my life, sorry not sorry. @65 Biotic Mastery now, 71 for Tech. I force myself to play more Biotic kits more often to keep this close; naturally I tend towards "Mathemagician". Spectre and Map Mastery at 32. Earth Mastery at 25. Shotguns x46, Collectors x51. Abominations count more than Husks, this is the simple explanation here (and I am pretty sure the RNG loves Collectors as anecdote). Passed Shinobu a little while ago on CP, mentle777 and I keep trading places - somehow despite only playing one kit, the dude scores lots of challenge points. Vormav sits comfortably above me 4 spots, and then near the top of my page on the list sits Almurat89 at 333,255 CP ranked 167th in the PC world. If they cleaned the top of the list of cheaters, that would be nice. So many impossible scores that are so blatantly obvious... No need to ban them or anything severe, just yeet them off the Leaderboards. If you cheat, you don't get to be on the Leaderboards. You can still play, hooray for you! (This idea brought to you by Pepperidge Farms and senility/insanity) |
