And a nice, meaty patch too. Yeah, some much-needed fixes there.

Wrapped up "The Divorce" in Essexe. For a quest chain that was supposed to have twists & turns, it was surprisingly lacking in both. I can already tell this is one is going to come back to haunt me later... The brothel scene was pretty funny though...

So what did I do yesterday, started the day breaking up with Petra which I felt really bad about and then going for a ride with Randi. That was fun and she gave Eivor a kiss but Eivor put any romance on hold for the time being. So then I decided to wander with a goal to clear Ledestcestire (SP ) heading up the eastern side of it and ended up going East and clearing Linconsire. Ate some mushrooms and forght some bears, took two goes. Did an anomaly which took me thirty minutes then when I hit "E" to complete it the game crashed so had to do it again. Otherwise just cleared icons and nothing really stands out to the point that I didn't take a single screenshot after the Randvi ride. Oh forgot i suck at the drinking game Randvi beat me easily. Listened to Reda tell a story to the kids in the village, I really like how the kids say hi to Eivor and the general feel of the place. Feels very real. Randvi and Eivor the secret kiss Scenery

I didn't get to play much today, and won't get back to it until tomorrow. I took Reda's two daily contracts and then sailed north toward Jorvik.
I stopped many times along the way. I saw too many cool things that couldn't be ignored, and was always rewarded for my curiosity. I docked in Jorvik and saved. A quick flyover with Sýnnin revealed a city packed with loot. I'm looking forward to this.
I'm surprised how cold and icy it was even in Southern Northumbria. Maybe it's winter? It was refreshing to have some open, sparsely inhabited country to explore after the bandits and hostile soldiers I've dealt with of late.
I found my first piece of the Thegn set. It was meh in appearance, but has potential I guess. It has a decent perk, if I recall correctly.
Tomorrow there is an update. Cloth will be sold in level 6 Ravensthorpe, providing a work around for the cloth sacrifice. There are other fixes, too. Unless they fix all the bugged quests before I finish, I won't get the completionist trophy. That's a bummer, since I'm the ultimate completionist.
If not this PT, I'll get it next time. I'm already over 110 hours, I think. 😳 Crazy. My first PT is always long an inefficient, but that's still a lot of time. I'm pretty sure I completed Odyssey in less time my first PT. That said, it has never felt like it was dragging or getting stale. So far so good.
Edit: The update I most want is a NG+. I haven't even finished my first PT yet; but I can't imagine just starting with nothing after acquiring so much gear that I've never even used.
Starting fresh will be fine. It really fits the narrative, the growth of the settlement, etc... but I would like to have that NG+ to enjoy our ridiculous stockpile of gear.

And now onto Jotunheim, which I can already tell will be more interesting than Asgard. Some more interesting environment "puzzles", and not too sprawling. Regrettably, Odin's not the sharpest tool in the shed... That's quite a catcher's mitt... Ugh... it's the Hinterlands all over again. Yeah, can't say I was expecting a PL 400 Bear here. That said, he's big and slow, so he's not that tough to beat. He's got the HPs of a small mountain though, it's like chopping down a tree with a spoon. Sad to see he's made up of low-res textures though.

I am torn ATM between clearing the map and progressing story. Everyone else is so far ahead story wise and I feel a need to catch up but my normal PT is clearing the map area by area.

The story takes you to a lot of places. There are some places you can't even access before reaching a certain plot point. I try to balance my time between exploration and main story. The world events are always short and stand alone, so I do those whenever I find them. Edit: I think Odyssey always takes me well over 100 hours because I always play Fate of Atlantis.

I wonder when the first free part of the season pass will happen. December obviously but I wonder if it’ll be early like next week or more towards the end.

I generally clear a region of all the secondary elements first (wealth, mysteries, etc.), then I can just go straight through the storyline.

Maybe they're waiting to see if CP2077's got one more delay left in 'em... Kidding aside, it'd probably be to their benefit to get it out before CP drops, but with the realities of game dev...

I wonder how late they added the Hidden Ones armor? One of the pieces is a face mask.... I am less than impressed with the armor options. They're pretty cheesy in general. The face masks made me raise an eyebrow. At least add a helmet to it. What does that thing do other than make it hard to breathe? I hope they add more "realistic" options over time. Odyssey had a great array of options, from very realistic to high fantasy; but I have a feeling we will mostly get fantasy options via the Store. At least we got the Carolingian Dynasty Set. It's not perfect, but it's grounded in reality and performs well in game. I'd love an era appropriate suit of mail, helmet, etc... A hooded tunic could be the cloak. Sigh. I wish I could consult on these things, as if that would matter. 😛 You know they have people gathering all kinds of historical info. They say, "Okay, this is how people should dress, be armored, etc..." Then the visuals boss says, "Make everything BIGGER! Giant weapons and gianter pauldrons. That armor is boring. Add some straps and shit. Forget steel; we need lots of leather and fur. Add some glowing stuff, too." 🤣

This isn't really a "What did I do", but rather what I heard. JorRaptor shared in a video that Power Level 400 maxes out the skill trees. Then, we get three options for Mastery Points, one for each "style". Mastery points cap at 30 each, so the current ceiling is essentially 490. I figured only saandrig would be advanced enough to have maybe started spending mastery points, with Obsidian Gryphon chasing close behind.

Hey what is the story with Raids, I have an option of only one on the map and done some that were well over my power level. Do I need to sail rivers to make them pop, open Synchronisation points because otherwise there will be no more settlement development for me as I have zero Raw Materials.

Honestly, you have already gone to Asgard, right? That's pretty advanced (Level 3, at least) for where you are in the story. Ravensthorpe develops at a nice pace with the story. I'd not stress it.

She's reaching 390. I doubt she can reach 400 by doing mastery because some of them are glitched; fabric drops, or I flat out refused to do it; stupid fishing with line. Xps can be earned despite the glitches by killing mobs though so she'll hit 400 irregardless.

I am OK with The raven Armour but most of the rest are terrible either in their look or the stats just don't suit my play style. There are a couple of all black ones I like but they are all so bulky. The Huldufolk set and the Galloglach set are probably my favourite visually and in terms of stats.

Did some trick or treat in Glowecestrescire. The bone mask is off in this cutscene though but the cloak is part of the costume. Looks like a bit of feather got into her nose. Them stones are getting higher and higher. That stack shouldn't be standing but I'm not arguing.

Finished Lincolnshire today and whomever said it had a boring story was right. The worst voice acting in the game so far too.
And an annoying fight where civilians run around enemies. I got desync because they walked into my fires (caused by one of the bear ability) and I deal aoe attacks. I had to change weapon for the fight.

Ravensthorpe develops at a nice pace with the story. I'd not stress it. Thanks that's my focus ATM exploring that is. Might try and just open all the Synch. points. I'd just advance the story if I were you. Maybe that's what you're doing and I'm misinterpreting your posts. I tend to pledge an area and explore maybe half of it upon arrival. I often get lured into a neighboring shire by some site or another, but I resist the urge to go too far. After exploring half, I'll go start the shire's story. I'll mop up exploration during those, or just before completing the region. YMMV, but this gives me a good balance of free-roaming and story. You don't need to grind out the settlement early in the story. They did a good job of pacing its growth with yours. In fact, some of the alliance rewards are +1 settlement rank, so it's tied to the story in a real way. You'll get to level 6. I'm just starting Jorvik and I'm nearly to 6. I could probably fast travel now and upgrade another farm, at least. Regarding the armor, I'm hoping someone will soon post pics of each evolution of every armor set. I don't want to upgrade something that looks hideous in the end! 😄 One good thing is that the effects of gear are mild enough that you can just use what looks good and mostly get by just fine; particularly if you're not on Drengir or whatever Nightmare is called. The Elite Runes (I can't recall the proper term) allow you to apply the perks of weapons and armor sets, so you can get the perk you want with the look you want. I like the Carolingian and Hunter sets, though the Hunter helmet looks dumb to me. (Hide FTW.) I've not seen the Raven Set fully upgraded. I abandoned it so early after thinking it looked clunky on female Eivor. I realized shortly after that I should've just hidden the cloak. I always hide the cloaks by default. They're just clutter, to me. I like the Galloglach Set as far as I have upgraded it. I think I'd like the Brigandine Set, and will likely upgrade it eventually. (I still have a piece or two to find, IIRC.) Having the Carolingian Set start out as Mythical has allowed me to hoard resources more than I'd otherwise have been able. That means I can start upgrading more gear to mythical sooner. I already did so with the Scimitar. I'm holding out for another Hunter Bow option, but will do one of those and Blodwulf (shield) next. Man, I also want to try dual wielding, soon. Axes and seaxes, in pairs and mixed pairs, are on my mind. ("Seax" is essentially pronounced "sax", so that sentence sounds humorous, a bit like I'm trying to flyte.) Alas, I'm also thinking I should hoard resources until I start getting legendary stuff like Excalibur, Gungnir and the like. Argh, decisions... I liked the ideas behind the story, but it was pretty transparent for several reasons I'll not spoil for others. Plus, I just didn't particularly like Ledecesterscire the region. It had its beauty, but it also had terrible roads and tons of bandits. I was happy with the outcome of the story, but also happy to move on to other things. I think I'm going to love Jorvik. I squeezed in 30 minutes extra before lights out, here. I mostly scrounged for loot, grabbing two new equipment items and a bunch of resources without going far from the docks. This city is loaded! I met Eivor's friends and the local big wigs, and saved there. The city has been under Danelaw for a while, so it has a totally different feel. I love it. I went into a small church that had clearly been rededicated to Thor. Pretty interesting. The people in the streets are speaking Norse instead of English. So far, even the street and building layouts are just cool. I want to walk the streets here, getting to know each alley, after I've wrapped up my adventures as a level 400+ demigod.
