Have I mentioned how super hyped I am by the idea of unique only gear? Obviously the detail is in the execution but what a potential game changer. How so? my biggest gripe on RPGs as a genre is how they handle inventory. They all do it, except for ME 2 and 3 really, so it's hard to hold it against them but it's a. Super unrealistic and b. Super annoying to be collecting 50 swords in an area, most of them you'll never use and just its stupid busy work.

I’m more excited for how it sounds like our gear will level up with us, so we won’t have to spend an obscene amount of time, gold, and resources bringing the items we like up.

I missed that but yea that could be huge. Sounds like they are confident enough in their content that they're going to limit grind *fingers crossed* Edit: actually it sounds like all this is in reaction to learning from Breakpoints tiered loot disaster. Now if they can learn from Odyssey's DLC RP mistakes this could be a terrific game.

It's just so you win the lottery of a good piece every 100 times and is just a variant to getting Drachmae even though you mostly sell stuff for Drachmae anyway and especially early on!!!! I actually maxed out my inventory yesterday for the first time, forgot to sell/dismantle it for a couple of days and was like what when the warning came up on screen. I also sold my best epic Assassin sword, the only item I had kept that wasn't legendary, thought there was a buy back button but didn't see one.

And yeah admittedly while I do not *like* it ACODs solution to the inventory limit was to make it so luducrious that you would have trouble filling it up. Which seems you did anyways.

It's OK I'll just fill the inventory again and I am sure I'll find the exact same one in no time at all!!!!! The flip side is I managed to max out my drachmae again to 9,999,999 by earning >$2,000,000 in sales (which I'd just spent upgrading stuff) and also increased Metal, Wood and Leather resources by >50,000 items each.

So now I know dazk is Australian. Thus the new thing I learned today. Watch out according to DragonKingReborn we are the Master races (he's a Kiwi). And yet you still mess up simple inventory systems. As an aside I thought I heard that ACV might have a small scale CC this time around.

Cool, I assume they will also have the current armour aesthetic system (which is great) where we can use any look on any armour piece but from the beginning this time?

I really liked that little feature. It's something I hope DA4 can implement. Worst thing ever was having a cool looking schematic in DAI that had terrible stats.

It's a feature I'd like to see in any and every game going forward. It was a huge improvement to Odyssey. When and where was this confirmed?

Can’t remember which. Cool. I might dig it up tomorrow. It's a great feature that I hope they include from the start. I also hope they include NG+ from the beginning. If not, at least they seem to fully understand the wide appeal/demand and will likely intend a patch at some point.

Super annoying to be collecting 50 swords in an area, most of them you'll never use and just its stupid busy work. I cannot remember before AC: Syndicate too clearly, but that is pretty much what the system they had there was. You did have to pay to unlock upgrades, but it was just an improvement and not a level upgrade.

That is because you are stuck with 280 items or so you cannot get rid of unless you put them in a secondary large inventory box.

Would have been nice if Odyssey had a filter that we could set like "automatically sell/dismantle gear that has animal/Athenian/Spartan damage, etc., highlight gear that has 2 or 3 of the following stats". Would have made the inventory hassle much easier.
