I'm doing The Raven and the Cuckoo now, and oh my god is it annoying. I'm trying to do the stealth approach, but the guards spot Eivor instantly and with only a split second of yellow warning, which is too short a time to react. It's getting boring just watching Eivor do menial chores to blend in while waiting for guards to get far enough away. I'll try again, and then I may just storm the place and murder them all. |

Now I'm doing the final goodbye quests. Not that I dislike Eivor's psychedelic rainbow feathers, but where did she get psychedelic rainbow feathers? Edit: Well, The Last Chapter was, overall, underwhelming. They should have gotten rid of some of the repetitive main story and replaced it with some of Eivor's exploration into her travels with Odin. Given her more character development. The goodbyes seemed quite random, and as was mentioned by someone else already, Eivor's LI wasn't acknowledged at all. At least they didn't forget about Sigurd completely.  All in all, this felt like something thrown together at the last minute to get people interested in Mirage, with a throw-away explanation for why Eivor's body ended up where it did. The whole thing felt like it was more about Basim than about Eivor. |

The Last chapter was a waste of time, all Eivor says re the LI to Valka (Mine was Randvi) was we have already said our goodbyes.   My LI was the baker, but I still got the same line with Valka about already having said goodbye to Randvi. Baker Boy wasn't mentioned or acknowledged in any way. |

I still haven't done the last dungeons yet. My goal is to have Valhalla gone by the end of the year. Been pretty meh about games, but maybe with the Dead Space remake coming in January, it might get me to purge a couple of games that I am almost done with.

What was the deal with our Mass Effect/Expanse star making a cameo? Preparing for the Mirage entry? That mission made little sense otherwise.

I finished Valhalla over the weekend. I had a bunch left to do that I wanted to get done before dropping the game. The first was to finish building the rune carver (I was 100 resources shy), the second set of Tombs, the new quest added with the final patch, and then finally the final quest in the game. So I am all caught up now, but I am keeping Valhalla on my system until I have another single player non-online game installed for it takes forever for me to download games due to having slow high-speed internet, but I don't plan on playing it again.
I got really pissed at the second set of tombs, during the lava one I got stuck and had to restart twice on one of the balance puzzles where you had to put weights on a platform the game didn't recognize that I placed both weights on one platform and said it was balanced with two on one side and one on the other.

You guys aren't the boss of me. The guy yelling on the dock was added also with the final patch or it didn't activate until then for me. It is a very short quest, took me about as long as running around to get the five orbs. I got the feeling it was a roundabout way to tie into Mirage especially when you go to "modern time", but also at the start when you had the commentary on Eivor and Odin. I think AC: Mirage is probably the first AC game I haven't had any interest in and the more I see for it the less interest I have.
