Has anyone played with the aim assist option on PC? I left mine at the default value, but I'm wondering if that might be causing some issues. I know there are a few games where I have to turn it off, it's just make aiming with a mouse harder, lol. I think I disabled it in Origins actually. I have it at Off and hit things pretty easily. I suspect even at Off it is still somewhat active.

Mouse controls seem fine to me.

I was letting the game steer me along the river to the next quest objective, and the game misjudged a turn and steered the boat right into the riverbank ![:why:](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/bdgyfBzZejzahDlRugvA.png) Now the crew is yelling at me to be careful. It isn't my fault, my dudes. "Follow river" was still on. I hadn't accidentally turned it off. So that's a thing that can happen. LOL I had a similar horse moment with follow the road, there was a right hand turn and the wolf went straight into huge Stone. ![](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/iAAocWiXpMcWriqYLqLB.png) Yeah... needless to say, the pathfinding could use some refinement. I've given up using it. Boats just randomly run aground, nowhere near the destination. On a near-perfect straight-shot, I've seen the boat just turn 180° and go the other way.

So, raiding a monastery, mayhem, fire, the usual. I use my upgraded Valkyrie jump (does AOE stun) on a bunch of packed soldiers and IT BROKE the bar FROM OUTSIDE at a nearby barred door. Hello, new way to circumvent some annoying puzzles 😁 Good to know... ![:hue:](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/ylSGZfoaGJIOHQXDloNH.png)

Free that woman in Cent on your own peril. The note nearby warned you!
Not so subtle Winnie the Poo reference.
Death awaits at the nearby tree.
I think I like the Cent mysteries.

Doesn't seem to work for me. England's map is bare and Norway just has a few (non-interactible) dots on it.

Finished the first Asgard arc yesterday. It was okay. It had its ups and downs, but overall I felt it was just kinda... meh. I switched over to male Eivor partway through this as it made more sense. But I can't say anything really stood out except for perhaps the final battle. One of my bigger issues with this, and by extent the main game, is just plain character stupidity. The protag and characters blindly falling for the most obvious lies and schemes. Compounding this are all those letters you find not being treated as character knowledge. These letters often unravel entire plots, but the game treats you as though Eivor never read them. It is frustrating. Asgard was nice, but I think it still paled to Atlantis.

Not acknowledged unless it's part of the plot/quest, because there is a few of those. If it's not glowing teal, then it's just lore/for the player writing. Going by how some people who have finished the game are complaining they do not understanding anything, maybe those letters exist for another reason too. ![:hue:](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/ylSGZfoaGJIOHQXDloNH.png)

I swear this one made fun of the fans, the mechanics and maybe even the game's plot.

My joke theory that they were brought over by The Order of the Ancient might actually be accurate. I always find one or two in sealed vases in area where their members (or soldiers) hangs out. But in reality, it's probably supposed to be Vipera berus aka Adders.

Yeah, mandatory usage of the fishing rope for a Mystery is the dumbest quest I found thus far. There are a few other "fishing" ones, but you can end them quick by going in the shallow bit and spearing the required fish in a few seconds. Pretty good and fast way to make money too, especially at the Norwick dock. Wait till you have to gather Order clues by winning at dice and drinking. This is stupid. Play dice and drinking? I'm leaving the killing of zealots till the very last. If I find the dice aggravating, I may not finish this game at all and that'll be a pity since I like Eivor and want to see the end of her story. ... well, actually, she ended up dead at America so I guess she's one of those Vikings who went travelling farther than usual. I wish the devs follow CDPR game Thronebreaker. Puzzles and card battles can be skipped if the player just want the story. In this case, have the option of just simply skipping dice games if it's tied into the story. So, they have committed three bad game design decisions; tying mysteries and story to three features that's unwanted by a portion of the player base. Dice, fishing, no assassination of zealots. I just find the dice game takes too long, I am impatient enough in the game as it is!!!!! Flyting i just find annoying, it is something I have been ignoring after doing the first two in Norway. The drinking game is just boring mashing the button and if they have tied the mysteries to all these things well I will be probably giving them a miss too. Not sure i will leave the zealots to the end but I have been holding off on them till I get a bit stronger. What annoys me most is the return of QTE's, I just find them hard as I am not good at that sort of thing and thus I find them very annoying. I have not bought games or have not replayed games because of QTE's.

I got the pet fox yesterday and have been back to Ravensthorpe twice since then. I don't see the fox anywhere ![:crying:](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/DXYvYKTKTfCBEhHGFvDL.png) Anyone know where he hangs out?

I wouldn't ignore the flyting since it unlocks dialogue options all throughout the game. I don't really like it either since it's timed dialogue options and I don't have the best eyesight so I am not a fast reader (although I ave to admit, the timing was fairly generous so far). Worst case scenario: make a save before starting, so you can figure out the right dialogue options to use.
The dice game is actually one of the more fun mini games I've seen in games to be honest. Probably ranks not that far behind Gwent and Pazaak for me. And the AI is not too tough either (which IMO was a huge problem with other AC mini games in the past, like playing nine men's morris in AC3, which had an AI that never made a single mistake). So that's fine. I actually played all the dice partners I came across so far once (you'll win new god favors from them which you can then keep using).
The drinking is just a stupid quick time event game which sucks. But if you put both hands on the keyboard (hit the space bar with one and keep the other on A/D, it's not that hard to do.
Haven't tried fishing yet.
But yes, I agree that they should have kept the mini games optional. Well, at least I mostly like them better then those they had in previous ACs.

So yesterday got less time to play as had to be the good dad and go to my daughters award presentation, if only I was that smart!!! ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/CeRUIfXurYhaBmWjMBkt.png) Seemed to do a lot but did very little. Discovered the dragon head things and that you could put statues of Odin and Trees etc, throughout the village, small thing but a nice touch. Trying to decide if just go the full Odin (whoops accidentally typed Odrin ![](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/qUctXNjCPgwPaLsZeKry.png) ) theme or not. ![:wizard:](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/jnHLyGfxNtJAkpBdNkkm.png) Went for a walk with Hytham thought for sure he was going to hit on Eivor but really liked that scene. Did some more of the investigations for the woman Jarl at Grantbridge, found some random people around there to talk to, had already done the follow the trail to the river etc. Did Galinn's quest and let them join the frey, he doesn't seem guilty to me. Did Birna's but cleared the fort beforehand which meant a short walk with her and Eivor complimenting her on her fighting??? She also didn't seem guilty. Will do Lifs today as I really needed to do some raiding as I want build more stuff in the settlement. I have done Gunner's forge and Hytham's Bureau and the stables. Want to do the shop next but does anyone have any advice what else to do first? I am thinking the bakery and brewery cause I am a bread and wine kind of guy and Randvi mentioned them. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/RebJidSPcxyF0U0Rr0uW.png) I want to romance Randvi, can you hold off on that until after her and Sigurd break up (I read somewhere that happens) and is there anything I should know to make sure I don't stuff it up so happy to be spoilered. Pic's Eivor took a leap of faith Eivor got most of her gear off, This guy got spiked

Damn so will have to do the Flyting. I like the dice game I just find it takes too long but I hated Gwent, I am just not good at that kind of stuff and played way too much cards as a family activity when I was younger. I don't find the drinking game hard, I am just not a fan of QTE's at all.

Damn so will have to do the Flyting. Not required to advance the story, it just offer alternate options in some quests/mysteries. Like one I just did, I could pick the charisma option instead of searching for a password to get access to something. The password wasn't hard to find. There is also a place where you can reduce the cost of gaining some information, but you can find said information another way (and get your money back two different ways too). For your Randvi question There will be romance spoilers here I'm reading there is a bug when you tell her "now is not the time" after she tells you she loves you. A dialogue options disappear after you reload a save. The other two other options are to start the romance or "just friend" path.
I've been trying to find out when Sigurd break the marriage and if you can push back doing the quest that can start the romance to then, but I haven't found the information anywhere. If it's super late in the game, maybe cheating is the best option. There is apparently dialogue reflecting Randvi/you wondering who knows at Ravensthorpe...ahahah

Is there something very specific you need to do after going to England before you can construct the tattoo shop? Or is it just keep advancing the main story? I constructed the blacksmith and the Hidden Ones' bureau, but the tattoo shop is still not an option. I got stuck with tattoos and hair I'd rather not be using for seemingly forever ago when I left Norway ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/6576594/images/BBCpsoiIHmyzmblpikow.png) Or are there other places to get a haircut and tattoos done other than your own settlement? In one of the bigger cities that I haven't gotten to at all yet?
