VentureBeat claims we're going to get a MET Remaster "Legendary Edition"

After watching the EA Play and the "announcements" they had I am pretty sure if there was a remaster coming it would have been mentioned after so many other games that were years off such as that one title from Motive that was only showing prototype level graphics.

The source for that was a Reddit post that didn't make any sense to me, for it sounded like nothing more then wish fulfillment.  At least the websites reporting on sources telling them EA was doing a remaster had some credibility to what they were saying.

I had a lot of problems with that Reddit post from things like describing a remake, but calling it a remaster or saying they could just port the first three Mass Effect games to Frostbite.  It was just too easy to find flaws with what was being said.

Now it could happen one day and I will be happy for the people that want it.  I just don't think any of the reports that are currently out there are accurate.

Oh well the fantasy was nice while it lasted.

The VentureBeat article didn't say it would be at EA, it didn't when it would be announced at all. The Reddit post claimed it wouldn't be at EA Play, but a few days later.

I don't think it's coming. Meaning my spaghetti monster is either fired or getting fired soon. The fucking idiot. He could have just lied and said it was totally coming.

Was the EA HD Title in the Venture Beat article, the title we were owed and supposed to be ME Remaster, actually Skate 4?

It should be "now we know Skate 4 is the something else" as in the unannounced game EA had.  Sometimes my brain lags behind my typing.

Not necessarily, Burnout Paradise Remaster's original release didn't have any sort of press that I can recall.

Is that so? What about Anthem? Was that ever mentioned/shown? If not, why?  How long has Bioware been in Anthem 2.0 mode? Couldn't they show something? Look at DA. It showed 3 images.

Yes, but Bioware has acknowledged both DA4's existence and Anthem 2.0's existence. They've said they want to show new things, either in Andromeda or the Milky Way, in the next ME, which is a non-committal way to say "it's too early to stir up shit in the game's dev cycle, but we're definitely going to, either way", but it doesn't hint at a remaster. I don't remember if it was in Bioware's twitter account, Mike Gamble's or Casey's account, but that was the tweet. So all we know is that a new game is coming, but it sure sounds like a NEW game and not hinting to a remaster.

It's always unlikely to show up. Which means it's never showing up. Maybe it'll drop on release day, like Apex Legends.
