- Maybe they just want to give it its own announcement day when it's not going to compete for attention with SW: Squadrons? Then they would have made a SW: Squadrons showcase. Why take away from that with FIFA'21, APEX LEGENDS, the indie releases and SKATE 4, then? Would the texture pack for MET stir up that many people to overshadow Squadrons? I don't see it.

Why? Was EA required to announce a remaster trilogy was in the making or a release date? If they are working on one, they might want to announce it at a later date. EA tends to start talking about things when they have leaked. Both Inquisition and Andromeda were leaked and within a month they were being talked about officially, Star Wars: Squadrons was leaked and EA started teasing us with a trailer that they released because they just reran it again during the event. I don't recall even having a BioWare game rumor ignored by EA or BioWare this long. Why not announce it now? Since its out in the wild it means people are expecting for it to be announced as well so all they are doing is angering the players that want it. Who knows? Could be announced later on summer game fest, could be not we'll see.

Also from Jeff...Jeff Grubb @jeffgrubbOh, ME Remaster is coming this year. BioWare already said it's working on Anthem 2.0 and Dragon Age 4. - Maybe they just want to give it its own announcement day when it's not going to compete for attention with SW: Squadrons? Isn't there a "surprise triple A" thing for one of Geoff Keighley's Summer of Games thing?

In hindsight, this EA Play was pre-recorded and obviously it wasn't "live". So, they thought 5-10 mins of a dev discussing his childhood fandom about Star Wars was better content then revealing a MET Remaster?

Isn't there a "surprise triple A" thing for one of Geoff Keighley's Summer of Games thing? MET remaster isn't a "Triple A" segment game, by neither next gen, nor current gen EoL standards. It will be to show off next gen graphics and a texture pack for a game on Unreal 3 won't do that.
In hindsight, this EA Play was pre-recorded and obviously it wasn't "live". So, they thought 5-10 mins of a dev discussing his childhood fandom about Star Wars was better content then revealing a MET Remaster? Now you're getting it.

Even aside the lack of Mass Effect, this was a rather thin EA showcase. Nothing from Bioware on Anthem 2.0, 2-3 concept images of Dragon Age and nothing on Mass Effect IF there is a remaster, my guess is they announce or/and release it on N7 day. But I'd be happy to be wrong

-Remake of all 3 games in Frostbite -In development since 2017 -Trailer coming after EA Play -Release on N7 day -Andromeda Combat -Overhauled graphics -Restored Cut Content -Hubworlds expanded -Minor additions to content -No expanded crews -Endings stay the same -All DLC included I don't see it. Not all this, for a remake. Keeping the shortened ME3 crew and the endings feels like a wasted opportunity, as well.
It feels stupid to go through all this, to come out in the same end of the same stick. Which sounds right up Bioware's alley, even after the first death of ME. So let's kill it a second time Why they just use Unreal Engine instead of Frostbite? It's like they're shooting themselves on the foot.

Xbox July event is going to be amazing specially for obsidian entertainment AAA RPG game rumour to be there. Plus halo infinite has some RPG/World open systems in that game. Plus Fable.

Even if they had to push up the schedule a bit before they really wanted to, just to confirm its existence is what I would have expected. Now things always change and they might work on a remaster now that people keep talking about it, but I think if they were already working on it such as the time of that report it would have been officially confirmed.

So denying and defending is not going to make their games successful.

So denying and defending is not going to make their games successful. I have no idea where this comment is coming from in response to what you quoted. I said I don't think they could port the game from Unreal into Frostbite doesn't sound like I am singing the praises of Frostbite there. The continued to critique that I don't think it was that easy to port from different generations of Unreal. My personal stance on Frostbite is that I think it gets too much of the blame and BioWare themselves are a big part of the problem and I never said it didn't have its problems either just that I think BioWare would run face first into any problems that any engine they use. As far as Frostbite being problematic for RPGs any engine is problematic for any genre or game that is developed on it until the tools and alterations are done for what it wants. After all Unreal wasn't designed for transitioning large amounts of data in a short time either.
