Dragon Age The Veilguard Criticism Thread (formerly Skepticism Thread) [Spoilers]

Some part are good toward the end. Expect a lot of cliché and obvious derp moments of well the plot demands we loose brain cells because we need to drag this on.
There are some interesting twist. 

Why is all of the 'good' writing localized on Solas? Isn't that strange? Did they run out of time to properly flesh out the rest of the characters?

Any word on if we can ignore companions beyond their forced recruitment?

Ok so there is some reactivity. It's not very good and I assume it's extremely biased in favor of Solamamcers but it's there

But I have no idea who are these companies so why does it matter? What am I missing?

Yeah, I'm never buying another Dragon Age game again with these people in charge.

You have to do their personal quests if you want the good ending. Like ME2.

My canon worldstate involves either killing Anders outright, or sparring a rivalled Anders and siding with the Templars in DA2's final choice. Breaking Anders' delusions of grandeur with all those sweet, sweet rivalry points is worth it - and death is too good for him. (And in Inquisition I double down by always conscripting the mages and supporting Vivienne heheh). 

Same. DA or ME. Bioware is done for me until they do a major shake up and let go of all these terrible writers 

Fitting comparison. I watched the Twilight parody first with a friend, THEN we watched the actual first movie and we were like "it's the same movie", lol. We ended up skipping 70% of the dialogue because it was so bad we couldn't stomach it.
And this was a long time ago before I became a cynical gremlin. Granted, I wasn't 12 anymore and I have a blood phobia so vampires disgust me. But still. Most cringe romance I've ever seen.

So yeah, DAV seems like Twilight, something so cringe it's already a better parody than any parody of it could ever be.
