While I understand this is a promotion for the game, to me its not enough to sell the game its a borderline tech demo which can backfire big time when they start to add more things to the screen and if changes are needed to keep the game working.

That was a weirdly-specific trailer and left me feeling less impressed than I have been. The animations seemed off. However, I like that we can play as a dark character and hopefully that means there will be some significant branching and consequences for our actions. The previous reveal in March looked really good so overall still very excited, this one just didn't do a lot for me.

Just watched the trailer...and while I like it, I hope it's an optional choice to go dark and that we can help Sebastian (the Slytherin boy) in another way to help him achieve his goals without making him the token "evil Slytherin" character
Always something to be killed, and I’m the one to do it – Hero of Ferelden ‘Hawke this, Hawke that,’ Why does everything fall to me? - Champion of Kirkwall Our concern must be the order and safety of this world, not the next. - The Inquisitor
People are messy, but they're trying, and I'm going to make sure they get that chance - Commander Shepard
And yea, I really hope we'll be able to pick another path, I really don't want another evil Slytherin. We had enough of those
The youtube description for the video says: Should you choose to befriend Slytherin student Sebastian Sallow, you will be faced with the decision to embrace or reject the Dark Arts as you uncover his family’s mystery through his companion quest line. Will you choose to learn this dark magic?
Looks like it's a choice and the adult in the trailer was theorized to be Sebastian's dad after the 15 minutes gameplay trailer reveal and he's really not happy about it...

Thanks I watched it live, so didn't see the description.

I was actually thinking of getting the Collector's Edition for this game, which I never do, but for $300? Don't think that's worth it. Probably will get the Deluxe Edition for the thestral mount though.

Really disappointed with how they are handling the various versions of this game. Like the digital deluxe edition has an item NOT in the physical dexlue edition. PlayStation versions have exclusive felix felicis potion and an exclusive quest. Collector's edition is at least $100-150 overpriced. All of this just seems like greedy corporate BS because they know they can get away with it having a built-in fanbase.

Also found this interesting. No formal morality system but sounds like we will have quite a bit of freedom in how we play. Also the reference to conversations is nice since we haven't actually seen any dialogue options shown up to this point and that's one of my bigger remaining questions. Remains to be seen how elaborate that is and what kind of consequences there may be based on our choices/actions.

The only remaining question I have is how our character will be called, and with extension how they will be addressed Like...will we have a set surname like Shepard/Ryder, or maybe a title (like Champion/Inquisitor)? Or will it be elaborate like in Fallout 4 where you have a series of names in the game's data that gets spoken if you pick a name that's on that list?

Dialogue options confirmed, at least for important decisions like this. Really glad to see this, I've been anxiously waiting and while the last trailer gave the impression there would be a choice there, I wasn't sure how it would be presented.

^ I'm curious (and a bit excited) to find out what each of those choices will do, especially the "I don't want to learn this" option

Considering Stupefy and Petrificus Totalus are arguably better at taking people out of the fight, aren't unforgivable, and should already be taught...
I mean, Cruciatus just causes a buttload of pain as long as the spell is maintained. Petrificus Totalus will just... well, petrify you.
You're either out for the duration of the spell (and then can recover on your own and be in the fight anywhere within the span of seconds) or you're out until a counter charm is cast on you. And the one that is more problematic to recover from is not illegal to the point you're getting hard time, period.

Yeah I'll still be picking it up though on PC because at best it's likely just a small throwaway sidequest if the Avengers Spiderman content is anything to go by. But I agree that it is disappointing to see Sony still stooping to these tactics and their fanboys praising them for it just makes it worse really. MS have already stopped this BS why can't Sony? If anything it's made me more glad I switched to the Xbox last gen in terms of console. If anythin gonce the games out thre'll be a youtube vid of it anyway and we can just watch it there. Some Sony Pony will brag about having an extra quest and do that anyway. If anything if I were Sony I'd start playing nice especially if MS completes their takeover of Activision given they can say F U Sony and strip COD away from them and stufflike that. I know they said they're not planning to bu tthat doesn't mean they won't or can't change their minds once the deal is complete.

Common Room trailers
My favorite is Hufflepuff, it looks like a hobbit home
But the others look amazing as well, Ravenclaw common room is just how I imagine it from the book description

I'm absolutely in love with those common rooms! Ravenclaw is my favorite, although may be biased since that's my house haha. They all have very distinct atmospheres.
