That's actually a good idea. And maybe throw in the MP maps as extra side missions with the different enemy factions that are in ME3 for each map. I believe the MP maps for the most part are alerady used for side missions already in the game. Some of the extra DLC one's weren' t I don' tthink bu tI think the ones that came with the game at launch were. Because I know the Tuchanka one was used in a side quest as was the Noveria one. I believe the Satellite one that comes up at the end of the game was one as well. I never played the MP so I don't know which maps were used in the SP.

Ok so we are finally getting Legendary Edition.
Very interested in buying but only if mod's will be allowed. If not then i will stick to original, ALOT and ALOV already added high resolution textures and cutscenes + i couldn't play ME without EGM, PEOM, Variety or Recalibarted as these mods become an important part of ME experience.

This talk about MP in 3 and I got PTSD ( ) from the maps in 3 SP because MP experience was so bad, I hope they dont include that problematic 'multiplayer game' in remaster. I'm only looking forward to see how ME1 is.

I guess mr spaghetti monster was wrong Actually, gender non specific Spaghetti Monster was spot on. No Remaster was being worked on, during May of 2020. From the looks of it, the Remaster began work in August. The problem is that gender non specific Spaghetti Monster pasta away and I could no longer get any more info from them. So, with the knowledge that I had, I had to stick to my guns. Also, please refrain from assuming Spaghetti Monster's pronouns. It's disrespectful of the pasta community.

I'm not sure why people are catching feelings so hard about this. It's not like people weren't asking for a remaster, and now they've [BioWare] done one. They're not going to change the ME3 ending, and even if they did, then people would just complain that BioWare can't help but retcon major plot points of their franchises. Changing the ending of ME3 would also invalidate the reasonings behind the Arks being built in order for the Andromeda Initiative to move forward. No galaxy threat means no reason for MEA (which I know some people would want). Damn near every remaster is a "Same shit. Better graphics," experience. Nothings changing folks, and the dynamics behind the game are as simple as "buy if you're interested, or look the other way if you're not". Not sure if I'll pick it up since I've gotten dozens of playthroughs across ME2 and ME3 alone. I'm sure there will be the relatively younger crowd, or those who never thought to play it, who will give it a shot. To be fair, the secret motive behind the Initiative is still valid regardless of the outcome, since the goal was to exit the galaxy before the war even began. I imagine if they made any major revisions to the ending, very little changes anyway. The choices made before Priority: Earth all have major repercussions throughout the setting themselves.

Reactor is the SP map without the puzzle, e.g. At launch, there were six multiplayer maps. These six maps were N7 missions in the single player. Multiplayer added more maps after launch -- such as Rio, Hydra, and Vancouver (and at least one more I am forgetting, he Menae-looking one) -- plus some Hazard-versions of existing maps. They even reworked one map in multiplayer (Firebase White? The Noveria one) but it staued the same in single player.

This is true, but the maps for the MP were since modified from the version that were used in the SP. FB White (N7 Cerberus Fighter Base), for example, has some walls removed and new corridors, FB Glacier (N7 Cerberus Labs) has a room closed off and some obstacles removed. There were some minor graphical differences for FB Giant (N7 Cerberus Attack - Tuchanka) but I don't think any structural changes to the map. The expanded maps were never part of the SP campaign : Hydra, Condor, Goddess, Jade, London, Vancouver & Rio. Some N7 missions on Condor, Goddess and Hydra would have been really neat. Jade we kind of already have a mission in that environment when getting Eve from Sur'Kesh. Vancouver and Rio... well, there was never time to go there during the Earth assault. I'm not sure what I'm blabbering on about.

Options: 1. Tie it to the app (does that still exist?) 2. Keep EMS at 50%, but do not display the EMS value in the interface. Have the war terminal just display assets. You will lose some minor Hackett dialogue changes, but who really cares at that point? What about the war asset points? If the points remain the same but the end score is halfed, won't players who are new to the MET ask what's going on? War asset points can stay the same. the EMS (Effective Military Strength) is just a percentage of those points. You can remove the EMS value and will anyone know the difference besides long-time fans? Another option is remove EMS entirely, and just show a bar from 0 to <arbitraray end value>. You start with some war assets so it is never at 0. You just rework the total war asset values required for specific endings, with a full bar required to get the complete ending (breath scene or whatever). Allow some wiggle-room so that you do not need to collect all war assets for the complete ending, just most of them. You could then base Hackett's assessment on fighting the Reapers based on the bar total instead of the EMS value. This way, you can still allow everyone to get all the various endings and deaths and whatnot.

Hmm. I'm kind of interested in this, in that I'm not going to saying anything negative about it until we get more details.
If it's just a pure graphical overhaul of the original games, with no changes to core game mechanics then I'm certainly interested in owning it. If it's one of those things labelled as a remaster, but in actual fact it's more of a re-work, where key mechanics are revamped I'd probably hold off. I've come across this kind of thing before "All textures are now in high resolution"... and underneath, in the small print "combat has been revised, all cuckoo abilities are now given automatically upon starting a character, and Wogarbullies no longer come equipped with a spud gun...."
Also, I suppose this remaster will be in the Frostbite engine; which means no mods, including my beloved MEHEM... meaning I'd have to go back to the sodding Star Brat and the default red/blue/green ending.

I'm not sure what I'm blabbering on about. The room of shame on Glacier wasn't closed initially. That came with balance charges later. I've played these maps so often, they are fused to the identity of the game - but it's like you say. The later ones weren't SP maps. Who knows, maybe there were at some point plans for such missions in SP. In style they remained pretty consistent.

And behind the map is ocean. You can actually fly up the dam and along the reservoir. Expect some missing textures, you'll notice how meticulously they left out areas that wer impossible to observe by normal users, but step outa bounds once and you'll see.

For ten years I wanted something nice (Mass Effect related) to hang on my wall. Once again, the tradition of disappointment continues. BioWare has created an incredible looking lithograph to commemorate the release of the Legendary Edition. Within minutes it was gone, to scalpers or those who were lucky to be at home (and not working retail) with there damn hand on the keyboard, ready to buy, and then gloat that they were lucky to buy one and prove just how big of a Mass Effect fan they are, while the rest of us are left to rot without one. I wanted something official. I'm so sick of shopping online, and seeing posters, or lithographs of obviously stolen fanart. Bad call on BioWare's part. I refuse to settle with a "smaller/lesser" version of the lithograph, if they decide to do it (it's just a clean way to belittle us poor suckers who missed out on the real thing).

To be honest, it's not like they would have to record entire lines or do some major work. They could be called (if needed) on a later time to record something after most of the technical stuff is almost finished and the game is next to release. Let us remember that Spring 2021 is still a long way to go and do some work. I think it will be a simple remaster - do not expect ANY new content. I will be not even surprised if some bugs from original trilogy will be still there. However, it makes me wonder how they will deal with very outdated ME1 in the terms of gameplay. It seems like the remaster has been in development for quite some time to be just a simple one. But IDK if that's cause of the pandemic as well, or if the reports of dealing with ME1 engine are accurate. Plus, it's not unheard of bringing a VA for one line or two on a remaster, like C&C did www.pcgamesn.com/command-conquer-remastered/voice-actorAnd if we are really looking into that same scope C&C was analyzed (I do hear quite some hums on the VA for 1, especially aliens), ME3 VO was only concluded December 7th 2011, so there's plenty of time. Also, also, I think Bioware might want to redo Mordin's VA for ME2. I mean, the guy won't be payed more royalties or stuff like that for a job he was replaced later on.

On reddit someone share info from Mark that no new recordings been made - so do not expect any new VA. Maybe they will add some previously unused VA (as modders did for example with Extended Anderson Coversation or Gabby & Ken recruiting). I know they have a problem with ME1 remaster due to very outdated gameplay but let's be honest - ME1 needs a full remake, not remaster. I'am not very optimistic about buying Legendary Edition as some modders already exclude possibility to update their mods to LE (EGM and Variety for example). I will probably stay with the original release, but LE is a great opportunity for console players as they do not have any mods at all.
