I mean, I don't hate him. But I hope he doesn't feature super prominently. I do find it a bit disappointing, because I like thinking of him being happy in Kirkwall with Hawke, and not weirdly directly involved in the North. He hates the Deep Roads? I just feel like he'd hate Tevinter more. By my Sarcastic Hawke is dead.  Literally your choice. Sometimes I do want my heros to die. I wanted my Shepard to die, and it was fitting. I haven't felt that way about any of my DA characters. All of them are very much alive.

I just feel like he'd hate Tevinter more. It almost sounded like he’s maybe the point of contact between New PC and the Inquisition? After all, Solas knows him too, so I’m not sure he could go gallivanting around with New PC without drawing attention. And Morrigan was the voiceover for DAI trailer and she was only there at the end of the game- and had some key scenes, but was hardly someone we journeyed heavily with.

Dragon Age @dragonageThe world of Thedas needs you, a new hero. The next #DragonAge will see the return of Solas… and an old friend. Does this mean no Varric? Damn... he is getting ubiquitous? I have no issue with him narrating the trailer, but I don't want him taking up a companion slot which could go to a new character. I'd rather have my PC coming up with their own friends, not having somebody else's "best friend". Varric belongs to Hawke, in whatever sense.
- hope the "dead friends" isn't Hawke. Dare you, Bioware... - so Varric finally acknowledged Meredith? Nah, still don't buy it given his side-taking in DA2 endings.  - big turtlesauruses... not sure if I want to fight these - still sounds pretty rogue-y. I'm not sure if I like this. But the Tevinter Neon Lights are rad. - the wide-headed thing from the concept art was again there on a mural

I agree, but if we need insight on Solas... We have several people better suited than him. And what if Kirkwall? Guess he said fuck that city and left them. Well, depending on when this takes place and player choices, Kirkwall could have fully recovered. To be fair, Solas is a bigger threat.

Still, Kirkwall literally ran with just the Assistant Manager for years before Varric got voted in. And if anything, he's heavily stabalized it. He could leave for specific things, but ya, I don't see him being in the "advisor" role for an entire adventure. Besides, he has no connections to the LOF |

Mixed feelings. I adored the footage but I wanted the real footage, not the CG. The promo strategy plays like Andromeda's playbook. But with the new head in charge, I want to believe the strategy is gonna be new and the new information gets coming in regular intervals next year.

Hehehehe....I can't help but giggle. I sort of suspect that Dragon Age "will" in fact be the title of this game.  Sorry, have to to laugh. As for Solas, I won't lie; love the fact that Solas may need to be an "ally". However, the new look of Solas is wonky as hell.   |

Had a quick re-watch, and had some impressions.
Paintings:
Meredith statue with idol sword
Corypheus with the orb
Upside down giant leggy creature from the concept art?
Another creature?
Dinosaur tortoises?
Cinderella's castle, with goblet-swirling man (probably a mage due to the robes) watching
City (Minrathous?) with floating buildings, neon signs and spotlights
Probable assassin (maybe Crow due to the wings on the dagger's crossguard? Outfit doesn't look like Crow)
Weird-looking magic archer
Pile of red lyrium with an ogre(?) on top
Solas looking more villainous than ever

The castle structures look like they're the same, but the surroundings are different. Either it's the same castle in different time periods or moving from place to place  , or there are multiple castles that look the same in different parts of the world.
