Earlier today we teased a little more about Dragon Age, giving you a glimpse of the story and some of its characters. And, surprise! Another team within BioWare has already begun pre-production on the next chapter in the Mass Effect universe. Rich, branching narratives, choices with consequences, and intriguing characters are central to the entire Dragon Age franchise, and we’re putting a lot of work into these. You’ll form relationships with companions who will fight by your side when you experience this true Dragon Age saga set in Thedas, a world in need of a new kind of hero. We’ve got a lot more in store for the Mass Effect universe and while we’ve got a long runway ahead of us before we’ll be ready to show you more, we hope the teaser set the tone for where we’re headed next. The teaser is full of hints about what we are planning, and we hope you have fun finding them all! In the meantime, the Mass Effect Legendary Edition is coming in Spring 2021, so we’ll see you all back in The Citadel very soon. It wasn't anything like the Gamescom video.
And we got a look at what we can expect to see in DA4.
Tevinter looked gorgeous.
Real shame about the subtitle, though. That's what I was looking forward to the most.

So, the only things they announced was that we'd get a new protagonist (which the summary already all but confirmed) and that Varric wil be back. I like Varric, but I honestly don't see *why* he needs to be back again. I hope he'd have an advisory role, and not a companion role.

I mean, I don't hate him. But I hope he doesn't feature super prominently. I do find it a bit disappointing, because I like thinking of him being happy in Kirkwall with Hawke, and not weirdly directly involved in the North. He hates the Deep Roads? I just feel like he'd hate Tevinter more.

"saw friends lose life and limb" Is Hawke gone in the fade Bioware's CANNON? Varric has potentially seen other friends die. yeah but the LIMB referred to Inky, so the death kinda refers to HAwke, IMO, as one part of the comment refers to one of the PCs |

After all, Solas knows him too, so I’m not sure he could go gallivanting around with New PC without drawing attention. |
