Ok some more thoughts about the mural

The symbol of water (wavy lines) is used in Solas' tarot and murals from DAI. I've always wondered about the water and connecting it to this mysterious monster being is interesting because it does remind me a lot of Mythal (born of the sea, made the moon) even though it could also be linked to Ghil. Personally I feel the left figure is more Mythal looking but that's just my initial thoughts.

The right figure's silhouette looks more manly to be honest with the broad shoulders. Elgarnan maybe, as he is born of the sun?

The dread wolf's eyes does look very menacing and disturbing though. I think they nailed the uneasy vibe the dread wolf is supposed to emanate.

I think it's more and more likely Solas' plan master plan includes breaking into the black city tbh.

I'm thinking, could this be Rivain? Lomerryn perhaps? One of the domed towers on the lower right, just above the ship's mast in the canal, is very reminiscent of Rivain's architecture with its roundness. It could make sense as a point to start at if the protagonist is indeed a Lord of Fortune as many seem to believe, and Lomerryn seems indeed like a great place for someone like that to be in.

'another thought: are the figures on each side equaled? Meredith and Andruil above, as both played with red lyrium weapon-thingies?

normally the Chantry chooses the names in-universe... not that I care about their opinion, but... perhaps some sort of upheaval that ends times as known.

Wavy patterns also show up on Executor robes. Sea motifs were ALL OVER Tevinter Nights, relating both to Executors and Ghilan’nain’s

There was literally no companions at all. I think all we got is Varric, Solas, and moving concept art for the pratganist? or are you thinking all those figures were companions:?

Ooh yes, this is something that I am interested in finding more about. I've said this before in other threads but I think Ghil and Mythal's imagery and mythos seems to have gotten mixed up over the years. Not sure why or how that would be the case but perhaps Ghila planned to usurp Mythal. The question of why Mythal's killers left her well intact is a big mystery to me though.

I just remembered why this looks so familiar! It's from the new map that has all the imagery around the border, at the very bottom there is an image of what looks like a castle under a dome with two opposing champions on either side and two dragon creatures or something above the champions. It's the same image with different characters.
