I think that's a helmet but there's indeed a purple jacket/suit. I can also see the pant has a belt, like peebee has, and also her bracelet. Again though it might be a new protagonis or ryder or someone irrelevant.

Hardly. We have to assume that Bioware know what they're doing (I know, but bear with me). We've been told that the trailer is full of clues. This counts as a clue. The only straws we're grasping at are the ones put in front of us by Bioware.

Assuming Bioware know what they're doing and haven't just cocked up. Again. 

He didn't want to find anything, because does not care, and wants you to know that really bad.

I do care, though. Just not what Bioware wants to serve me. And I gotta admit, I got played by them, here. As a lot of things I were told, weren't entirely honest.
You wanna know what I do care about? A direct ME3 sequel with Shepard and co. set after a high EMS destroy ending.
This trailer shows Liara on her way to meet the Andromeda Initiative, as we can see PeeBee and co. in the background. From there, right when you see "Mass Effect will continue" you see Liara's and the Initiatives crafts flying away together, at the top right of the screen, presumably going back to Andromeda. I am not thrilled with this direction. I'd say I am the exact opposite of thrilled with this direction and I think a lot of people will be angry at Mike, for making such a suggestive video, with the N7 helmet and Liara and having nothing to do with Shepard and co., just to bridge Liara over to Andromeda.

Let's not forget that the similar "mud-skipper" concept art looks to have literally stamped Mordin, Thane and Jaal's silhouettes onto the background. This could just be a case of reused assets or unoriginal design. It is a CGI trailer, after all, and the game is a long way from being finalized, so I wouldn't put too much stock in it, despite what BW might say.

Regarding the "XT8" or "XTB" that's on the ship:
Samuel Merrill Woodbridge was a clergyman, theologian, author, and college professor of "metaphysics and philosophy of the human mind", some of his works have "XT8" in the catalogued number.

Tetsuo Kagawa is a Japanese astronomer that discovered minor planets and asteroids, among them is "(59120) 1998 XT8" discovered on December 11, 1998.

They're all asteroids orbiting between Mars and Jupiter, and they were all discovered on December with exception to "(498388) 2007 XT8" and "(419369) 2009 XT8" which were on November.


XTB-1 (Boeing TB/Model 63) was an American torpedo bomber biplane.



Also Mudskippers which the ship is named after are amphibious, so maybe our ship can go underwater too.
Nashan Stellar Dynamics which makes parts for ships and the Normandy SR-2's T6-FBA couplings are the only ones we know that made an amphibious engine, at least for aircars.

I still don't see why that's supposed to be PeeBee. I think that's highly unlikely wherever the game is set. It just wouldn't be ME without an asari LI for the new protagonist, and there's no way that Bio's going to serve up Shepard or Ryder's sloppy seconds in that role.

I'd love to. But as Mike said, everything is intentional. I do hope that there is a missmatch somewhere in there and it's not all literal. Oh, I'd love it to be so. You guys give me hope.


The narrative would be that the initiative came to find Liara. That's what it looks like.
