Earlier today we teased a little more about Dragon Age, giving you a glimpse of the story and some of its characters. And, surprise! Another team within BioWare has already begun pre-production on the next chapter in the Mass Effect universe. Rich, branching narratives, choices with consequences, and intriguing characters are central to the entire Dragon Age franchise, and we’re putting a lot of work into these. You’ll form relationships with companions who will fight by your side when you experience this true Dragon Age saga set in Thedas, a world in need of a new kind of hero. We’ve got a lot more in store for the Mass Effect universe and while we’ve got a long runway ahead of us before we’ll be ready to show you more, we hope the teaser set the tone for where we’re headed next. The teaser is full of hints about what we are planning, and we hope you have fun finding them all! In the meantime, the Mass Effect Legendary Edition is coming in Spring 2021, so we’ll see you all back in The Citadel very soon. Okay, that's probably going against my expectations that we will see an Andromeda 2. Because of that I'm not going to speculate until we get more information because going back to the Milky Way would seem weird to me

I wonder what this means in regards to ME3's Ending. You see a destroyed Relay, and in the background of what could probably be Liara walking in the snow, there is a downed Reaper. Perhaps Destroy is the canon ending, or the game is unique depending on which ending you chose in ME3.

If so, Bioware: While I didn't like Andromeda I kinda feel like they need to keep going with it. Turning their backs and heading back feels like a "chasing the money" decision and I don't think those work out well. Also maybe Liara came to Andromeda? no idea. Too many variables for speculation imo. But yeah I'd be disappointed if they went back to the Milky Way and I wouldn't expect a great game if they did

Mass Effect 4? The ending seemed more sequel like then a remaster.
Also, Andromeda was so bad (I personally enjoyed it) that they canned it and would just rather pick a ME3 ending and go from there as opposed to doing Andromeda 2. Ironic.

I honestly don't see how they can blend together the two parts. Canonize an ending, sure, it's not something that difficult, although controversial. But I don't see how they can bring together the two things. What I'd say is, that the Legendary Edition makes even more sense, if they want to bring back the Milky Way.
We won't know aything for a LONG time, anyway. But I certainly wasn't expecting a teaser about the next ME right now, expecially after the (underwhelming due to the hype) DA4 teaser.

Then the music. Then the REAPER NOISE. THEN LIARA. Half the chat lost their minds because nobody was expecting it.
I really don't know how to feel. I want it to be good so bad. I have not yet finished Andromeda (no real fault of the game, my life went to shit and hasn't relented since 2017), and no other game really has given me *that feeling* that ME did.

It evoked some excitement and wonder as I watched it. Although part of that was it being unexpected. Expectation is key. The way they hyped DA4 made a lot of people expect more. We didn't expect nothing about ME. If they haven't said anything prior to the event, I think people would've been somehow fine, although expectations for DA4 are certainly higher since it's 'closer' to release then the next ME.

I think they are going to try and combine the Andromeda and Trilogy games into one new sequel.
At the start, we see two galaxies. In addition, at 0:32, there is mention of "Ark 6 is away". Which refers to the Quarian Ark from MEA.
They would not put those sort of mentions and imagery if they did not intend to converge the two story arcs together ...

It does look like they are going back to Milky Way to me and probably choosing an ending. It makes sense why they would do the remaster if that's the case. People are going to hate it, but I've always felt it was inevitable. But too early to say for sure.
