New Mass Effect Teaser Trailer

I have no idea what this actually means.

...Beyond new Mass Effect. And stastically, I'm likely enjoy that, no matter what they go with. They're four for four on my little serotonin box.

Since the game's very early, it wouldn't surprise me if it's Liara. Eyebrows, freckles, checks out. But it ALSO wouldn't surprise me if it's a different asari. I want Andromeda 2. Part of what makes Mass Effect for me is the "series with the same characters" aspect. It keeps me coming back to it, and it'll salt my tea if Andromeda doesn't get that. ...But even my least favorite Mass Effect content (Pinnacle Station) has brought me an iota of joy, so I'll buckle in for it.

It's like the XCOM franchise for me at this point. I know I'm liable to enjoy it even if the initial concept has me going "The heck are they doing?"

Yeah, it sounds like they're going to tie the two together... somehow. Maybe that's what the concept art of relays being built were for?

There's a segment of audio I can't make out that starts at about 0:51 in the Mass Effect trailer.

Can anyone make that out?

Uhh I thought ME:A is set 600 years after the events of the original trilogy... How the hell are they going to combine those two without some kind of time travel? 

I assume that's why we're using Liara.

...That, and that she has a shiny new model.

But she's likely to still be kicking around.

So, in the end, all of the "Players Choices1111!!!!" Endings in a so called "non-canon game" are totally pointless at this point, eh?

Opening shot also has very pointed imagery of two galaxies... my mind is racing... are we going to get.. a single sequel to both games?!

I mean, intentional could mean anything, but he also said the same about a reference in the trailer to the first time on that Tempest.
Also, Tom Taylorson, Ryder’s VA, is kind of teasing about it in some weird way.

My stance is that there is too little there to really judge what is going to happen and I probably won't really speculate about anything until BioWare starts talking in two to three years so there is some basis to know what is going on.  The thing that did frustrate me was Mike Gamble's Twitter comment of "This trailer has much to unpack. Look. And listen closely " I think that is a mistake to have on something so short and with a medium that people will speculate widely and get upset if that speculation turns out to be wrong.  That alone makes me think there is much more then what is at the surface level and potentially a lot of the hot takes are just going to burn out.
