That is Orson Welles from his War of the Worlds radio drama from 1939. It has NOTHING to do with Mass Effect.

It'd be hilarious if the wrinkles turn out to be meaningless. Like, they brought the face model in for a new scan, and everybody just forgot that she ages faster than Liara. Don't joke. This is exactly the kind of cock-up BioWare are capable of. In before: "Liara wasn't actually old in the new trailer! BIOWARE LIED TO US!"

It's a nice touch though, because the story was about an alien invasion. But again when you think about it when it comes to the control ending they could have contracted a cold and died which they could have used for the trailer? *shrug* just guessing

If you pick the control ending, the reapers would be still around as reapers after Mass Effect 3. He means that they might make similar experiences to the aliens in War of the Worlds.
If you don't know what that means, I won't spoil it. The original broadcast of the radio adaption can be found on Spotify for example:
The first few lines after the announcer is finished may sound familiar to you if you've seen the trailer, there are also audiobooks which may be easier to digest.

I just had a thought, if they are canonising the destroy ending, Shepard could still be alive but they could still also introduce a new protagonist, tasked with finding out what happened to Shepard after the final battle. Liara could be the director/advisor of the entire game. Maybe the reapers decided to save Shepard from the aftermath after they broke free from their thrall and subsequently withdrew their forces, leaving the milky way in shambles in the process. A dark age throughout the milky way follows. Meanwhile, Liara uses her resources to track down Shepard's location This... is actually quite appealing to me. Reapers took this "can't beat him, so kidnap him and retreat- and try again" mindset and now we're on the hunt for Shepard.

If Destroy will be canonized, I don’t think we’d get to this point, but rather a canon Liara simply being alive. I *guess* that if they’ll go for a canon scenario, they’d go for a canon romance... The fallout of making Liara the canon romance would be of a similar scale to the ME3 ending controversy  I doubt it.

From people walking away silently? I'd figure it would hurt as much. You can only push something so far down people's throats. It would be funny in a dark way that having Liara as a metaphor for Shepard's fanboys wanting Shepard back. True Shepard has the charisma to be the Lead of Trilogy but give a new protagonist of either galaxy a chance.
