No idea what the term is but I call it the Bendis. Its the inane chatter stuff where they constantly say awkward things. She was kinda the vanguard of the MEA characters in that regard.

In case you didn't know, more information on the new mass effect will come after the legendary edition is out, or on n7 day. If you mean whether i know something, here is bioware's blog post: We look forward to sharing more about Dragon Age and Mass Effect, as well as the other titles the teams are working on here at BioWare in the new year. Didn't remember they have confirmed that and i was guessing before i saw this. Also the animation director liked my tweet about what i posted above, so it might be at one of these two.

Just saw the teaser and I am so happy we are going back. I still hope they have keep MEA going but I love my shepard and him coming back would be mind blowing and liara and a krogan were seen so this is awesome.
I think it might be the destroy ending since it seemed to imply shepard was involved. Of course you could always argue that they retconned shepard jumping into the synthesis beam and just spitting into it or even flinging blood in there since it would still have his DNA in there. Not sure how they would make shepard in control ending survive but maybe it takes a "copy" of shepards mind and uses that to control the reapers while the human shepard lives on.
Whatever is happening I can't wait. Unfortunetly I won't buy the next gen console until three or four years after it's been out and isn't pushing four digits for a price tag. So even if it comes out in two years I have a long wait

But, I also suspect you will be able to find a PS5 or Xbox series X for msrp in less than a year. Though, I usually wait for later runs as well to avoid any launch bugs.

Yeah I have a PC for gaming but I prefer to play on a console due to a bigger screen and my hatred of using the keyboard for gaming. I imagine ME5 will be about five or six years out so it should be enough time for the next console gen to go down in price a little and to find out the bugs

I'll probably buy a new computer the day the next Mass Effect is released. That may mean that I have to wait two more weeks until after the release before I get to play it, but since you cannot trust release dates, there is no way of planning something like this ahead.
Since it's a Mass Effect i am going to play it even if it receives a very poor reception and I am not going to look at any reviews in detail, but knowing the overall reception will give me an idea of what I am getting myself into. I like speculating about the game in the forums, but I don't actually want to know. You won't see me in the forums as the release date draws closer and I won't even look at trailers that show actual cutscenes and gameplay from the game.
Until then, I hope my current computer will do. It has RTX 2070 graphics, which will be hopelessly outdated in four or five years, when there is a reasonable chance that the game might be released, but it's good enough until, considering that it can keep up with the new consoles.

Yeah I have a GTX 970, its fine for all my old games but damn it barely handles new games on low. So I'm upgrading now, may upgrade again when MEN comes out if it takes long enough.

Not particularly indicative, but, from what I understand, Ryder won't show up at all. If Ryder does show up, it will be in full gear and indistinguishable from which twin it is and most likely won't voice any lines. That might change, but don't expect miracles. If Ryder does return, this will be a 90Β° turn.

His immediate tweets after the teaser says otherwise, unless he was joking... Maybe he really doesn't know if he's gonna be involved or not. It's on early production anyways.

Listen, even Kojima told Joosten that he wanted her for her next game and never followed up on it. I don't think he's in any way involved with the game. I don't think this is happening. But I'd love to see it, after that public reaction to the teaser ...

Yeah, most are excited for shepard returning.... In the end both shepard and ryder fans will be disappointed if there's a new pc. I think that the people who jumped in with Andromeda and got Ryder, some liked it, but most didn't. As for the people who followed up their MET playthrough and went on to Andromeda, some liked Ryder, but most didn't. And the public opinion, as it was shaped from those opinions, was that Ryder was not that good. So the greater public will be more negative to Ryder's return. From there, it's all about how receptive that crowd would be to yet another protagonist and how much do they trust Bioware to introduce anything good and liked. And again, if the LE is more than a coat of paint and does great things with the trilogy and DA4 is great and Anthem Next turns the franchise around, maybe under those circumstances the public opinion sings Bioware's praises again, but that is a best case scenario, like the absolute best of best case scenarios. In that instance, I can see people getting on board. But it's not particularly likely. As for Shepard's return, Shepard is iconic to the franchise. People who weren't particularly interested in the LE, because it is a UE3 game in 2021, after all, will have some interest to turn in for ME5 to see what that is all about, people that were left with a bitter taste in their mouth from ME3 will want to see Shepard's return and even some of those that want Ryder back will check the Shepard game out. Not all of them, but some of them. So this is instantly the game with the most market penetration out of the three options. And you get that from the public reaction, it's not just me saying it. Even in the case of not making a game with Shepard, that is actually really, really good. Initial sales will suffer, people will show distrust in Bioware, unless the best of best case scenarios happens, which we can all agree is doubtful and that is the initial launch window is when sales matter most for a game, where the likelihood of a repeat of ME:A happening would be a very real possibility. So Bioware can try to fight this uphill battle, contrary to common sense and I welcome them to it. I will be having my pop corn here in the corner.

And if you got any, make sure to add some Cola as well. π I'd get some premium Crystal Head and drink it up straight. I don't like diluting my drinks, unless mixing a few drops of water accentuates the taste, like with some good whiskey. As I'm sure you can understand, I am a refined type of alcoholic. I only destroy my liver and kidneys for the most premium of alcohol.

A better writing and execution can do a big change but anyways Even in this climate, yes. Not when it needs to, though. You're staring down a Mirror's Edge: Catalyst situation in the eyes, an Anthem Next to Anthem. I don't see it being on time enough. It doesn't mean it shouldn't be done. But you need to give the title a better fighting chance. Now is definitely not the time for that and I can't see Bioware turning that around without some serious, serious backtracking. Look at public reaction the moment people found out EA will not be making SW games exclusively. It's like Luke Skywalker rose from the dead a second time, out there. Look at the negativity Ryder needs to overcome to make a successful return. But just to lift your spirits up, Shepard won't be returning either. The only way I see a new PC even possibly going well is if they introduce race options like in DAO or DAI. Bringing a less engaging narrative in favour of a cosmetic option. Reminds me of the base "alien" options in SW:ToR. You're going to get thorny human, scaly human, platy human, blue human and too dressed human. In addition to human human. It's going to matter as much as what javelin your freelancer picked in Anthem.
