Is that true? I thought the issue was that they spent a lot of time and resources on creating procedurally generated worlds but then decided to scrap that idea and go in another direction. Funding I am not sure about but they scrapped like 3.5 years of work. Though it really sounds like they were just fiddling around and doing pretty much nothing for 3.5 years from the leaks due to a lack of direction from management. And then eventually EA was like, we need a game sometime people and they crapped it out in 18 months. That’s what happens when you refuse to hire talent anymore. Pretty unoptimized messes do not a good game make. Talented developers vs the establishment had always been a problem though as far back as the end of the xbox 360/PS3 era being the last time they had any real say in the vision of their end products. But then the usual “BUH DAH GRAFFIX D00D” retards will chime in and bitch about everything while determining the “ graffix d00d” are the end all be all measurement of a game’s quality. We all know how well pandering to the lowest common denominator vs the previously established fanbase goes...
