The extremely chaotic good stereotype a'la Andromedas Liam - and to look at other Bioware games-, in Dragon Age Inquisition - Sera. Those characters always feel incredibly implausible, fake and simply flat out annoying. Well, I have known people who act the same way, so yeah they exist Not that I much care about that kind of action... Implausible and fake as in the roles they fulfill. For example Liam, he would NEVER EVER get a job in security, heck, somebody like him would not even be trusted with a sidearm.

Proper armed & trained security personnel or just some property security ''rented'' for some festivals etc? Big difference, the former are often ex-military / military-police / police, the latter random dudes off the street they put a jacket on that says ''Security'', just paid to ''be there'' and call cops in case something happens. Liam was supposed to be the trained professional, which is laughable with the attitude he had which suggested that he was dropped on his head multiple times. If you DO know proper trained and armed security which have an attitude like Liam please tell me your exact location - so I can avoid it.

When he first mentioned he was suspended x number of times, I wanted Ryder to ask why he was. It also made me curious why his superior didn't fire him. Anyways. Did the police force lower their standards to allow Kosta to be on the force? Did Alec do a background check? If he did, what answer did he get when asking clown kosta about being suspended? Of course did Alec care? I would say no since he was likely so full of worrying about his wife, he overlooked Kosta's record? The best job the Kosta clown would be good at would be a speed bump at the local shopping mall.

Not even such as Liam, but I mean... ugh -level people. These are 'trained' security guards, I also know one ex-friend who is in that company and I shaked my head how the hell did he get in anyway, so yeah... Though not all of them have guns or shit, they use tasers I think mostly if at all.

I just amuse myself with the thought that if Liam was picked for that position, what were the other candidates like? I mean, their job was to pick a crew that could handle 20,000 lives depending on them, and this is what they chose. Though it's probably easier to write a bunch of characters that produce big pings on the QuirkMeter3000 than a group of rather normal but competent people who still have interesting personalities somehow.

Though it's probably easier to write a bunch of characters that produce big pings on the QuirkMeter3000 than a group of rather normal but competent people who still have interesting personalities somehow. Sadly, Bioware really invested heavily in that concept in their last three games. Reminds me of the concept of making terrible music super LOUD in order to mask its awfulness. In this case its making characters super extreme quirky in order to mask unoriginal & bad character designs. Nothing against unique personalities but sheesh, Bioware needs to turn the QuirkMeter3000 back to 50% for the next games.

So basically the Golgafrinchan B Ark in Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy? hitchhikers.fandom.com/wiki/Golgafrinchan_Ark_Fleet_Ship_BDoes that mean the events of original trilogy was just a story used to get rid of them? Dun-dun darrrrn!

Yeah, sending badly armed mentally unstable people into a position of incredible responsibility, sending them into a potentially hostile area with absolutely 0 chance for resupply or reinforcement, with an APC that has no freaking weaponry on it to defend itself and the personnel its carrying, with no drop ships, no drones nor mechs for a minimum amount of security. Talk about set up to fail.

So was the Hyperion actually Ark B from Golgafrincham? Edit, dang, someone beat me to the joke. Well, I'm keeping the post because it's funny enough to be posted twice!

One stereotype I would love to see them avoid is the idea that women must dress differently than men. ME1 floored me with capable, professional women hanging around in clothes identical to sex workers with skin-tight floor-length skirts. The first time I talked to Emily Wong I was wondering exactly what sort of tabloid she worked for. The ME team got better in this regard, except that Ashley's makeover was ridiculous. Then again, so was Kaidan's.
I don't mind If there is a variety. Some people prefer to wear revealing clothes and I'm not saying they shouldn't or that they shouldn't exist in-game. But defaulting women (and Asari, even though they are not supposed to be female) to cleavage and belly cut-outs while the men are all wearing suits that cover them completely was telling.

We've got people making mods to allow Shepard and friends to put on casual wear on the Citadel. Surely they can put a pair of tight shorts.

However, Miranda and Jacob are dressed similarly in ME2, but only Miranda gets called a whore for it. More than once. If there is to be slut-shaming in the next game, it had better be equal opportunity slut-shaming.

Still, if Miranda must get called a whore, then it's only fair for everyone else in a skintight suit to get called one too.

I checked that scene on YouTube, along with their fight on the Normandy. Jack starts the "cheerleader" thing, calls Miranda a bitch, and makes threats, but I didn't see anything about Miranda's clothes. I guess we have the same wrong memory there.

Still, if Miranda must get called a whore, then it's only fair for everyone else in a skintight suit to get called one too. Jacob, right?

Still, if Miranda must get called a whore, then it's only fair for everyone else in a skintight suit to get called one too. Jacob, right? He's one example, yes. Kasumi's is also tight, as is Samara's, and Jack is half naked. Notice they are all women except for Jacob? legbamel had an excellent point whether you like it or not My initial post was a bit facetious considering I called for equal opportunity slut-shaming. (I thought that was obvious, but evidently not.) It would be better if the developers didn't force any character into a skimpy suit like that and then call them a whore over it.
