KOTOR Remake confirmed, PS5/PC timed Exclusivity

They can write the characters out or replace them by new ones if they don't want to recast them. But I don't think recasting is really an issue here. The original game will be like 20 years old when the remake release.


But if they are forced to make the game canon-canon by Disney, they might make a lot more changes around in there and maybe turn the game more into an adventure one than a RPG. They are apparently incorporating stuff from KoTOR 2 into the game as well. I'm not quite sure how that will work as it is a totally different plot with different characters.

Ok, I love that this thread is getting the community engaged and while I do share your concerns about the team (I hope they keep themselves in check) I also want to warn you to stay on target. We can be passionate about our games (I know I have) but let's not devolve into a rock throwing argument and direct the hate just to those people and no, I won't be changing the Title because the game seems to be a PS5 exclusive (with evidence of going multiplatform) and not "Bash the team behind the Remake."

I know I placed my two cents about that I would have loved that the MELE was a Remake rather than a full remaster, with most if not all the same issues which Bioware abandoned at this point, but let's get back to KOTOR. I won't shy away from being worried about the team but don't devolve into throwing death threats or other behavior not supported by the forum.

Well you still have the originals, they are available with all the mods etc.

I personally think that what thet're saying is good, but it wouldn't be the first time interviews before release, or even showing off the game, hyped up a game, ending later with people disappointed by the end result.

I'm not saying that'll be the case here, only that it'd be best to not get too hyped about this, before they'll show the game. 

I'd say in a vacuum, what I'm more skeptical about is the combat system, as I fear there are good chances they'll go full action with it. Hopefully I'll be proved wrong.

iirc you only can change the saber's colors between the original jedi ones. Mind you i haven't played the game after it's launch month.

Yep it does allow.

Personally, everything they say, has me worried. Nothing needs to be changed, nothing needs to be rewritten, or expanded, or clothes need to be changed. It just needs a fresh coat of paint and maybe do something about the gameplay. That's it.
