Baldur's Gate III - Non Spoiler Edition

Looks like that if you make a Paladin and take one level of Cleric, you get [Paladin of -Cleric god choice-] in some dialog options. I guess I have my 3rd character PT planned now!

From Circana's Player Engagement Tracker... Baldur's Gate III's engagement is wild. Currently over 300 daily minutes per DAU (top line in chart and yes, it includes idling), over 100 more minutes/day than Remnant II (middle line) and >2X CS:GO.

I had to go back to restart Act 2 (because one of the final main quests was bugged and I had made a mistake at the beginning that I didn’t realize was a mistake) yesterday and expected the replay to be a slog. On the contrary, it’s been a breeze and if anything I’m finding new stuff now because I know to long rest frequently and I’m getting tons of dialogue.

The long rest dialogue thing is really broken, though, because tons is locked behind it. Plus there’s the other dialogue issue of getting stealth romanced by companions without having ever chosen romance dialogue. (Gale is a particularly glaring example of this.)

So...AAA game developers and their shill journalists are worried/upset that gamers are not going to mindlessly eat subpar slop and instead demand higher standards?

That's not a sign of a healthy industry.

I have so many ideas for future PTs. Actually might be tougher to decide on my next character than my first one.

I've played ten hours as a Bard, twenty-five as a Paladin, a couple in multiplayer with a Sorcerer, plus close to ten just in the character creator and prologue. And I'm already thinking of rerolling a Monk. At this rate, I'll never get through Act I.

But Four Elements Monk does sound pretty cool right now. After all, there is no war in Baldur's Gate.

I feel desolate to switch Karlach from her starting gear to regular Barbarian armor, cause she looks sexier cooler in the former. Standard barbarian gear looks like an ugly, ill-fitting sweater on her. Not terribly on brand 

I've been controlling my re-startisis really well so far. Only restarted to fix some stats while creating the same character, before I got the respeccing NPCs (so super early game).

But I want to play a Paladin, a Warlock, a shapeshifting Druid, a beastmaster Ranger and probably a Sorcerer (or Wizard) and play as some of the Origins beside Durge (which I'm doing right now).

Holy shit

I think it’s partly hilarious, but mostly depressing. It suggests to me that people are taking the wrong lessons, and blaming everyone but themselves.
