I'm running into some weird issues since the latest patch: Stuff floating in mid-air, everyone's hair looks they applied wood varnish, and my companions go from loving me to hating me in the span of two conversations. And I don't have any mods installed. Do you think it's the tadpoles?
Maybe my character just has really bad breath or something. Should probably stop eating onions.

I'm running into some weird issues since the latest patch: Stuff floating in mid-air, everyone's hair looks they applied wood varnish, and my companions go from loving me to hating me in the span of two conversations. And I don't have any mods installed. Do you think it's the tadpoles? Maybe my character just has really bad breath or something. Should probably stop eating onions. These are definitely unique bugs, but you never know with patches. I might suggest starting with the simplest things first, like verifying file integrity through steam (or GOG, if they have that as well). and rebooting your system. This patch has caused some issues, but I haven't read about graphical bugs occurring. Wish I had better advice, and hopefully it gets resolved.

Not my usual cup of tea…generally prefer to control action…but I’m having hellacious fun. As a kid back in the 80s growing up playing D&D, I think they did an amazing job…many advancements and rules changes but I still understand it well enough. Not even through act two with 65 hours…can’t even believe it. Really enjoying the characters and story. I was wary coming in but glad I pulled the trigger…seeing the character creator did it for me.

Rogue/Ranger is probably the Gloomstalker build that gets like 6-7 attacks per round in the first round. They can solo bosses in a single round, it's totally stupid.

I just want to express my love for the soundtrack. I didn't realize just HOW amazing it is until I started listening to it in the office over and over.
The orchestral version of "I want to live" is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've ever heard. I tear up every time. Was really awkward at the office the other day getting super emotional, my nose clocking up from trying not to cry, lol.
So many amazing tracks, like some of the epic battle music, Nine Blades for example. Amazing vocals. The Bard Dance is really amazing too. The last time I was that into a soundtrack was Witcher 3. I guess Eastern European composers is where it's at these days.
DOS2 already had a great soundtrack but BG3 blows it out of the water. I need to get my hands on the soundtrack asap.
Just wanted to share. What are your favorite tracks?
Edit: The normal version of "I want to live" is great too, especially at 3:13 when the strings float in. Heavenly. I would always stop what I'm doing in anticipation of that part at the end. Would get upset if NPCs talk over it, lol.

Yes, the music is beautiful. I love "I Want to Live", "The Power" and "Song of Balduran".
Edit: I also love several game tracks that are not on the OST. The music that plays in the Lower City, with the guitar and woodwind (clarinet? oboe?) is one I've been looking for, so calm and almost pensive, but it doesn't seem to even have a name. The music when the Guardian visits you too.

Got an unpleasant surprise earlier when i launched GOG and it showed bg3 as uninstalled, thankfully this was not the case, it was still present in the files and I could get the game going by clicking on the Larian launcher there (was not looking forward to having to redownload the whole thing). But since gog does my updates and cloud saves I was still put out.
Managed to get gog to acknowledge bg3's existence by selecting the "import" option on the game page and selecting it's file location. Took a long while to scan, I don't know exactly how long cause I went and did things for a few hours before checking on it, but when I came back all was well.

Okay, so I need help and I'm super afraid of getting spoiled, but to do so I guess I have to spoil a bit so I'm hiding it for anyone who hasn't played at all yet: I'm in the Underdark, on my way to Moonrise tower. I've been flirting wildly with Gale, Astarion and Wyll. Gale and Wyll seemed to really like me, I got the magic scene with Gale and got to kiss Wyll in camp. I still don't know who to romance (Astarion is such an ass, but he reminds me so much of Fenris I feel obligated to try lol) but now I'm afraid I've been locked into a romance with Wyll without intending to. I had a conversation with Gale about his condition and what Mystra wants him to do, and I didn't really get a romance option. Meanwhile when I took a long rest Wyll invited me to dance, and it decidedly felt like a romance scene. I really haven't decided yet, and hate the idea I locked myself in (especially as Wyll at the moment is the one of the three I'm least interested in). Can I still pick someone else? I reloaded to a save before the dance just in case.

I don't know about romance locking in this game, as I always reload, but kissing Wyll is a romance move.
Edit: Ok, I know I was queen of the obvious there, but I don't know what level of spoilers you're trying to avoid. When I was romancing Gale, he had some things to say after the Wyll kiss and I had to choose between him and Wyll.
