This was never an issue (AFAIK) until a couple months or so ago. So what has changed between now, and say... 6 months ago?

Well, I previously had not experienced any of this before, but now that I am visiting the forum more frequently than quietly lurking once a day, I am beginning to encounter Err Bears when trying to post. I have a thread going in ME 3 MP to get a bit of feedback from people who don't lurk the feedback section: bsn.boards.net/thread/20090/experienced-loading-errors-quoting-liking?page=1&scrollTo=1592312___________________________________________________________- I quoted a grand total of 22 posts, one of them twice, when I got the error the first time I tried. 1 out of 22 would be statistically significant if consistent, but I'd have to do it a lot more and successfully force several errors before I could confidently glean anything from it. I tried three sections, ME 3 MP, Lobby, and here. I didn't notice any differences between the three. As far as comparing to others contributing to the thread, it should be fairly easy for people to get a sense of whether they're getting errors when quoting more or less frequently than that, so at least we can determine if I'm actually getting a free ride or if it's just because I haven't been posting much over the last few months. My error reference number was 502, and the Cloudfare Location was Toronto. ___________________________________________________________- I liked 113 posts across the same three sections during the experiment, and definitely didn't have any issues. With over a hundred, I'm hoping others in here will be able to easily guess whether their error frequency is higher than mine for the "like" issue. ____________________________________________________________ I have had some other ideas that might be worth pursuing. Could it be related to our chosen theme? I believe that effects the layout of buttons and colours, so perhaps it is a factor in whether "liking" something is slow or not. I'm currently using the dark theme, but I tried to check the name of it, and I can't remember how I chose it (in profile somewhere, I'm guessing.) I'll edit the correct name in as soon as I figure out how to check (or someone tells me.) Also, I have the Shoutbox minimized. I could see that having an effect on load times, or exacerbating issues, so it might be worth comparing error frequency with whether Shoutbox is loading. EDIT: So I have "YES" answered to all the settings that have it, I'm using "Legacy" theme, and two settings I think might be a factor - I have drafts enabled, and I have BBCode as my posting default. I could see that last setting, in particular, impacting people's experience when quoting. _____________________________________________________________ Edit: I should mention that I moved at the beginning of August, and have a different provider, with no noticeable issues, and running the experiment from a third connection at my father's cottage, which is in a rural area and isn't high-speed. So I'm thinking it isn't going to be related to IP or local networks, since they would be relatively poor where I am at the moment.
